Located in the village of Collias, near Uzès, in the Gard, the Collias Castle, dating from the 5th century, is today a XNUMX-star residence in Occitanie, in the heart of a four-hectare park, with a breathtaking view of the Gorges du Gardon.
Purchased and restored with art and passion by Christophe Tailleur and his companion Philippe Huber, this thousand-year-old castle has regained its charm of yesteryear, incorporating modern conveniences, such as the elevator and the swimming pool, while retaining its original character.
Very involved in the daily life of the hotel, the couple and their team work actively to offer their guests a high-end accommodation experience in a picturesque and historic setting, with the atmosphere of "a home to live in and share".
Hosting
The hotel has thirteen rooms and suites, each exquisitely decorated and personalized according to an artistic theme, primarily in an 18th-century style. The rooms, with thick stone walls, offer all modern comforts while exuding a feudal atmosphere interspersed with contemporary or ethnic paintings. They are equipped with Wi-Fi, private safes, minibars, hairdryers, televisions, and walk-in showers (each is decorated with an artistic tiled fresco).

Gastronomic restaurant
L'Hirondelle is the château's gourmet restaurant. Awarded a Michelin star in 2024, it offers delicate cuisine inspired by local produce and Mediterranean flavors. Chef Julien Martin and his team create refined and creative dishes to be enjoyed under the stone vaulted ceiling, in front of a period fireplace, or by the bay windows opening onto a terrace overlooking the park.
A bistro restaurant is also available, where you can have lunch along the main terrace, overlooking the bougainvillea laden with flowers and the green park.
Nature and panorama
The castle grounds have been designed for contemplative strolls, through the green lawns, the rose garden, or steep paths leading to the heights to admire the dizzying view of the Gorges du Verdon.
Artistic and cultural events are regularly organized in this park, such as a private piano concert during the music festival, accompanied by a cocktail dinner...
Château de Collias is a haven of peace where luxury and nature intermingle. It is an ideal address for a romantic retreat or a relaxing stay in a region rich in natural and cultural history, such as a visit to the Gorges du Verdon, the Pont du Gard or Arles, capital of the Camargue – an hour’s drive away – without forgetting the Château des Papes in Avignon…
