The divas of Cognac Blues Passions: Chrissie Hynde and Gloria Gaynor

In a few days, the most beautiful summer musical adventure begins: the Cognac Blues Passions. In previous articles published on Luxe Infinity, the event's partner, we presented the artists who will perform from Tuesday, July 2 to Friday, July 5, 2024, such as: Caravan Palace, pretend, Fatoumata Diawara, Deep Purple, the tribute of Manu Lanvin à Calvin Russell, Rival Sons et The Inspector Cluzo.

Here's what awaits festival-goers on the closing day of a world-renowned event.
Free access is offered to amateur and experienced musicians on the Experience stage from 10 a.m. to 16 p.m. Following the success of the 30th edition, Michael Rolland et Samuel Vincent renew the Jam Blues & Soul XXL by offering musicians from diverse backgrounds the opportunity to play together in front of the Cognac Blues Passions audience while waiting for the concerts. For registration, visit the website Cognac Blues Passions and the official mobile app.
As in previous days, the female collective Drum de Dames will beat the rhythm of the city center and 3 artists will perform in the bars of Cognac: Ady One Woman Band, Lorenzo Sanchez and Anthony Stelmaszack Trio. All French, the blues runs in their veins and these musicians are the ideal vitamin between two songs of the Jam Blues & Soul and the upcoming shows while enjoying a local refreshment. Then the friends of Rolling Stone Magazine welcome Delgrès at 16 p.m. and Cédric Burnside at 18:30 p.m. Delgrès is a trio led by Pascal Danaë mixing rock, soul and Creole lyrics. The journey offered by this unique power trio (equipped with a sousaphone) fits perfectly with the universe of the festival and their 3rd album "Promis Le Ciel" released last February relates the worries of the current world as much as the singer's intimacy.
Meanwhile, Cédric Burnside is an American multi-instrumentalist born surrounded by drums and winner of four awards. An African touch oozes from his musical compositions, and his performance promises to be an anthology. After their live interviews, these two groups will perform on the main stage, at 4:21 p.m. for Burnside and at 15:00 a.m. for Delgrès.
1715 Avenue du Blues welcomes Franck & Damien at 18 p.m. to the delight of festival-goers! After the first part of Ben Harper in 2022, they return to present their superb new album "Juniper Road" to enchant the Cognac people with their Californian rhythms and their good humor. They met in a bar by chance a few years ago and there is no doubt that the future will take our Bordeaux favorites very far, one of the shows not to be missed under any circumstances!
At 20 p.m., Maxim Nucci alias yodelice will take over Blues Paradise for a panel of his 4 albums and some excerpts from the next one scheduled for October ("What's The Cure"). The former participant in Popstars (in 2001) is also a producer, like Johnny Hallyday's last album ("De l'Amour") 10 years ago. All fans remember that he was at the Madeleine church in front of the coffin of the boss to pay a final tribute in the company of the guitarists Yarol Poupaud, Matthieu Chedid et Robin Le Mesurier.
In Cognac, the multifaceted artist returns with music that lives up to our times, complex, with dark nuances and an immense thirst for light. Rage and sensuality radiate from this new project, which combines rock and electro influences in a single furious race. A unique moment that isn't reserved for the fairer sex; indeed, in addition to being talented, Maxim is lucky enough to be handsome!
Before Delgrès which closes the festival, the immense star Gloria Gaynor will light up the city's gardens. Who didn't dance to "I Will Survive" after the French team won the 1998 World Cup? The world-renowned American's career spans 50 years and a celebrity that allows her to cover the hits of her choice. From Sia to The Supremes, including Christina Aguilera, Beyoncé, and Chic, Gloria Gaynor will set Cognac Blues Passions ablaze and get all generations dancing.
The octogenarian, who is in great shape, had a hit with the Jackson 5's "Never Can Say Goodbye" in 1975 and is a multiple Grammy Award winner. She has 18 original albums and a dozen best-of albums, including "Testimony," the latest with a very spiritual edge. The regular audience begins the festival with Chrissie hynde and end with Gloria Gaynor at Cognac Blues Passions, two golden divas!
See you there?
