Pioneer of French professional cosmetics, Bernard Mas, is the founder of the group Sothys and the brand Bernard Cassière. In 1966, at the age of 26, he took over the Sothys Institute in Paris, thus initiating a major transformation of the company. A visionary, he developed the brand internationally while maintaining strong roots in Corrèze, his native region.
In 1991, he created the Bernard Cassière brand, inspired by his attachment to nature and authenticity. The name “Cassière” refers to a local expression meaning “the hidden house”, symbolizing a preserved place rich in natural treasures. Under his leadership, the brand stands out with its innovative treatments, incorporating natural ingredients such as hemp, honey and chocolate, and with an eco-responsible approach. Bernard Mas passed away on September 26, 2023 at the age of 83, leaving behind a lasting legacy in the world of professional beauty.
