Cette élégante « Maison d’invités » aux airs de galerie d’art a été pensée par un jeune duo Franco Brésiliens Jeannine Marques et Louis Harang qui ont posé leurs valises au Brésil en 2012 avec la volonté d’acheter une maison pour la transformer en un espace mêlant architecture, art et design.
« Début 2014, nous sommes tombés amoureux de la vue et de la bâtisse qui abrite aujourd’hui la Casa Marques. Être née et avoir grandi dans le quartier de Santa Teresa a également motivé notre choix ”, raconte Jeannine.
La Casa Marques – un cocon luxueux de 12 chambres – a été imaginée par le cabinet d’architectes Brésiliens Intown Arquitetura, qui a su préserver la façade de la maison principale, les escaliers en bois, restaurer les fenêtres et portes d’origine en pin Sylvestre. Le bâtiment annexe est une construction moderne et minimaliste placée dans le prolongement qui se fond parfaitement à l’atmosphère bucolique qui caractérise si bien le quartier de Santa Teresa.
La décoration a été pensée par les propriétaires. « Nous voulions depuis le début un lieu moderne et rustique tout en préservant le côté contemporain et minimaliste » dit Jeannine.
L’ADN atypique de l’hôtel Casa Marques est de proposer et faire découvrir le Street Art brésilien en valorisant leurs œuvres. « Nous souhaitons faire connaître à nos clients les jeunes artistes de la scène contemporaine brésilienne, dont certains Street-artistes sont ultra réputés » explique Louis.
Dans les chambres ou dans les parties communes, les hôtes peuvent apprécier, entre autres, les œuvres de Toz, Tinho, Marcio SWK, Bragga, Gais, Antônio Bokel ou du Coletivo Muda. Quant au design intérieur de la maison, il est marqué du sceau des plus fameuses signatures brésiliennes : Sergio Rodrigues, Jader Almeida et Carlos Motta.
La Casa Marques c’est aussi sa piscine à débordement avec sa vue imprenable sur le Pain de sucre, ses chaises longues et parasols posés devant le bar à cocktails !
