CRN M/Y CIAO, a fully customized aluminum yacht by CRN, has triumphed at the prestigious ISS Design and Leadership Awards 2023 in the Best in Motor <500 GT (above 24m) category. The award was presented on Thursday, October 26, at a gala evening held in the elegant setting of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Fort Lauderdale Beach, during a gathering of key players in the nautical world.
These historic awards – the first in the world of yachting – celebrate excellence in design, engineering and innovation, and are now in their 33rd year.
Recognizing the shipyard's total commitment, creativity, and flair for innovation, the ISS Design and Leadership Awards recognize projects deemed most innovative, not only for their naval architecture and engineering solutions, but also for their aesthetics and elegant lines. In addition to reflecting CRN's exceptional quality in design and construction, this award highlights the shipyard's unparalleled ability to realize an owner's vision and specifications.
The features that particularly impressed the jury were the clean, sleek lines, the vertical bow, and the seamless interplay between the interior and exterior spaces. The generous windows were noted for the natural light that brings out the vibrant colors that characterize the furnishings and materials. On a technical level, the judges also praised the clever use of the open-air garage to keep the yacht under 500 GT, as well as the excellent space management to enhance the onboard entertainment experience for the owner and his guests.
The 52-meter vessel was designed and built by CRN, which also developed the entire naval architecture. The shipyard partnered with the architecture and design studio Omega Architects, which designed the exterior lines, and Massari Design Architects, who created all the exterior guest spaces and well-lit interiors.

At 52 meters long and 9 meters wide, this 5-deck yacht has a gross tonnage of 499 GT. It can accommodate up to 10 guests in the sumptuous owner's suite on the main deck and in four VIP cabins on the lower deck. There are also six cabins for the 4-member crew.

He paid particular attention to the social areas, requiring spacious and comfortable outdoor spaces, seamlessly connected to the large, light-filled interiors.
