Yndo, the charm of a cabin and an apartment in Cap Ferret

Yndo, the charm of a cabin and an apartment in Cap Ferret

After revealing in Bordeaux the potential of the twelve rooms of theYndo Hotel-Gallery, which now resembles a real art and design gallery, Agnes Guiot, entrepreneur and interior designer, has exiled her unique style to the coast of Cap Ferret where she has renovated a cabin in Piraillan and an apartment in Canon. Two authentic settings for a resolutely designer universe.

The Yndo cabin

Coming from Arès, in the Arcachon Bay, located a stone's throw from this refuge, she had the natural desire to accompany her clients to the essential destination for regulars and passing visitors, Cap Ferret, and showed audacity by adopting the world of a fisherman's hut!

The Yndo cabin has found refuge in the heart of the Piraillan oyster port and has been designed as an authentic, timeless escape.

This cabin evokes and reflects – both inside and out – the palette of soft, essential colors reminiscent of Cap Ferret, its wild, unspoiled landscapes, and its soft, harmonious lines.

As the conductor of this renovation, Agnès Guiot has given this cabin her very particular touch: that of a mix of materials, colors, meticulously found objects, imbued with memories and nostalgia, or selected from prestigious collections of famous designers.

A signature that is displayed in every nook and cranny and which reveals an interior that is both cozy and designer, a soft and soothing atmosphere.

Once you cross the threshold, the caress of the velvet furniture perfectly complements the warm strength of a raw wood floor with asymmetrical slats, which in turn responds to the armchairs wrapped in thick wool, or the authenticity of the rattan furniture that whispers softly and melancholy to the raw power of the oak. Each space pays homage to wood, which reigns supreme here.

For this project, the decorator decided to call upon local craftsmen to work the oak wood and together imagine unique pieces, such as a spectacular claustra partition with perfect curves, fashioned by the hands of a passionate carpenter from Le Porge or even a graphic and exclusive bathroom unit, the two coexisting perfectly with prestigious designer pieces.

Handcrafted ceramics are also a special guest and are exhibited in all their forms: floors, walls, but also lighting, tableware, accessories, furniture, etc.

Agnès Guiot creatively lists the entire repertoire of favorite colors of this estuary: pale green, sand and blue which celebrate the preserved nature which surrounds her intimate lair.

These soft shades of green, the colors of water, adorn the exterior walls of the cabin, cover the whitewashed walls, are displayed on the old-fashioned kitchen furniture, or are used in more intense tones around the lighting and various accessories. The emerald green handcrafted ceramics delicately envelop the walls and floor of the bathroom and brilliantly complement the sculptural tin bathtub.

The central room is adorned with natural, sandy tones, delicately revealed by carefully chosen pieces and objects in more intense shades: furniture, lighting and decorative objects blend harmoniously and invite relaxation.

Originally from Arès, the decorator wanted to use this restoration project to pay tribute to this land, steeped in memories, to restore all her love for it. True to this testimony, the Arèsienne devoted herself to hunting down little treasures in the four corners of the peninsula, such as Limoges porcelain tableware dating from 1821, subtly decorated with natural landscapes, or these pretty vintage cutlery sets that will adorn her father's old desk, which has been restored and now serves as a kitchen table. These poetic archives blend together as a matter of course, with a selection of objects from the most creative designers.

This fisherman's cabin strives to capture and freeze the world of Cap Ferret, transcribing it down to the smallest corners of its interior. Agnès's cabin advocates a certain slow life, a lifestyle very special that lovers of Cap Ferret will not find anywhere else...There is no doubt, the Yndo cabin is the new confidential setting, which invites the delight of letting time slip away...

The Yndo apartment

Agnès Guiot has a thirst for entrepreneurship, is increasingly passionate about the art of hospitality and unveils her latest creation: the Yndo apartment.

Located in the heart of the picturesque fishing village of Canon, this apartment is a stylish new extension to the Yndo Hotel-Gallery in Bordeaux and represents a perfect fusion of lifestyle and refinement.

Surrounded by soft, soothing colors, this space invites relaxation and unwinding. The carefully selected furnishings subtly blend designer objects and authentic pieces, creating an ambiance that's both modern and welcoming.

This gem of local architecture offers two spacious bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms, promising absolute comfort. The bright and welcoming living room opens onto a fully equipped kitchen that lacks neither charm nor functionality, ideal for preparing convivial meals. The wooden terrace is the real highlight: furnished with designer furniture, a wine cellar, and a plancha, it is ready to host memorable evenings. The breathtaking view of the basin and the typical boats offers a lively and continually renewed spectacle.

The owner, attentive to the smallest details, enriches each stay with personal touches, leaving gourmet and useful surprises available as well as delicious wines and champagnes waiting patiently for their guests.

Yet another special touch allows passing travelers to immerse themselves in the local way of life, without even having to leave the comfort of their apartment upon arrival. This place is not just a living space, but an experience in its own right, promising unforgettable memories by the water.

Guests will also have exclusive access to a boat inspired by the timeless elegance of the Riva, combining chic and comfort for unforgettable nautical getaways. This jewel on the water is perfect for exploring the charms of Cap Ferret, cruising along the coast, sailing to the iconic cabanes tchanquées, and admiring the majestic Dune of Pilat up close. Adventurers can approach the ocean's gates, dive into the clear waters, or simply let themselves be lulled by the rhythm of the waves.

As you glide along the water, days spent on board become precious memories, right down to the majestic sunsets reflected in the basin, offering a breathtaking natural spectacle. This boat is more than a means of transportation: it's an invitation to capture the beauty and tranquility of the coastline, for a truly immersive experience in the heart of the aquatic nature of Cap Ferret.
