Le park natural Kruger is the largest and most famous national park inSouth AfricaIt is home to exceptional wildlife, with more than 140 species of mammals, including the famous " Big five » (lion, elephant, rhinoceros, buffalo and leopard), more than 500 species of birds, and a varied flora, ranging from arid savannahs to tropical forests.

Located in the Northeast of theSouth Africa, Kruger Park is a paradise for nature lovers and photographers, who can observe unique wildlife scenes. It was created in 1898 by Paul Kruger, the President of the South African Republic of Transvaal, to protect wildlife threatened by hunting and gold mining. It now extends over nearly 20 km000, from the north to the south of the country, along the border with the Mozambique and ZimbabweIt is part of the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park, which also includes Gonarezhou National Park in Zimbabwe and Limpopo National Park in Mozambique. It was also recognized as a biosphere reserve by UNESCO in 2001.

Kruger Park is divided into several zones, which offer different landscapes and atmospheres:
– In the north, the climate is drier and animals are rarer, but you can admire baobabs, elephants, lions, cheetahs and wild dogs.
– In the center, the relief is more hilly and the vegetation denser, which favors the presence of leopards, rhinoceroses, giraffes, zebras and antelopes.
– In the south, the climate is more humid and animals are more abundant, including buffalo, hippopotamuses, crocodiles, impalas and warthogs.
Kruger National Park offers several types of accommodation, ranging from campsites to luxury lodges and restcamps, which are fenced villages with bungalows, restaurants, shops, and swimming pools. It is possible to visit the park by car, following paved roads or marked trails, on guided safaris, in 4x4 vehicles, on foot, by bicycle, or on horseback. There are also special activities, such as night safaris, cultural safaris, fly-in safaris, and golf safaris.
