Mandelieu, the capital of mimosa and nautical activities

Mandelieu-La Napoule is a commune located in the Alpes-Maritimes department, in the region Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur.

Bordered by the Mediterranean Sea and the Esterel massif, the town of Mandelieu is crossed by the Siagne, a coastal river. It has around 23 inhabitants, called the Mandolocians.

Mandelieu-La Napoule is renowned as the capital of mimosa, the fragrant yellow-flowering plant that brightens the landscape in winter. Every February, the town hosts the Mimosa Festival, a popular and festive event that attracts thousands of visitors. The program includes parades of flower floats, musical entertainment, exhibitions, nursery visits, and hikes in the Tanneron Forest, where mimosa has been cultivated since the 19th century.

Mandelieu-La Napoule is also the leading nautical destination on the Côte d'Azur, with nearly 6 moorings spread across seven marinas: three river ports, three maritime ports, and one dry dock. The largest and most famous is La Napoule port, which has 000 berths and is awarded the "Port Propre" and "Pavillon Bleu" label for its environmental commitment. La Napoule port hosts the La Napoule Boat Show every April, a must-see event for boat and water sports enthusiasts.

The other marinas in Mandelieu-La Napoule are the port of La Rague, which brings together a community of French and international boaters, and which offers a wide range of services and facilities, including a shipyard, a dry dock, a fuel dock, a diving center, a sailing club, brokers and security companies; the municipal port of Riou de l'Argentière, which offers 122 moorings entirely dedicated to motorboats, with fresh water, electricity, household waste collection, toilets, vehicle parking; the port of Cannes Marina, which has 1 berths and is located near the Old Course golf course; the Inland port, which is the first dry port in Europe, with 769 moorings on the Siagne Canal, for motorboats up to 800 meters and 11 tons; the Marco Polo port, which has 6 berths and is nestled at the foot of the Napoule Castle ; and the Marina Park port, which offers 95 spaces and is located at the entrance to the city.

The marinas of Mandelieu-La Napoule are the ideal starting point for discovering the beauty of the Côte d'Azur, its beaches, islands, coves, inlets, hilltop villages, Provençal markets, gastronomy, culture and heritage.

Whether by car, 4x4, bicycle, kayak, sailboat, microlight, paragliding, or on foot, the leisure opportunities are numerous and varied. Mandelieu-La Napoule is a destination that seduces with its charm, its gentle way of life, its dynamism, and its authenticity.
