For Autumn/Winter 2023-24, Marie Macon and Anne-Laure Lesquoy have imagined the London Twist, a collection designed in Franglais inspired by Great Britain so traditional and so crazy.
At the heart of this new collection, Macon&Lesquoy has reinterpreted a classic British weather forecaster: the umbrella. To achieve expertise and excellence, this meteorological collaboration was created with the help of a French expert in the field: Le Parapluie de Cherbourg.
Wipe away a grain with class? yes sir ! When the umbrella is opened, a shower of hand-made embroidery falls from the ribs: sun, lightning, water drops... its curved beechwood handle is finished with a taffeta canvas and cherry under my umbrella This beautiful object has been wind tunnel tested at speeds of up to 120 km/h. The result: a well-sheltered corner of paradise.
