At the end of March in Paris, first-year Bachelor students from EIDM (Fashion & Luxury Business School) organized the fashion show " Wear The Future "With the sponsorship of fashion icon Baptiste Giabiconi, the EIDM event's fashion show took the stage as a true journey into the future.
A parade in keeping with the DNA of the EIDM
Thanks to its "Learning by doing" philosophy, EIDM allows students to lead a major project from the first year (fashion show, magazine evening, pop-up store, etc.). After the shows Feminist Spirit carried out at the Grand Hôtel Paris in 2018, No gender at the Crillon in 2019, Gaia at the Pavillons des Etangs in 2020, a tribute to Paris, fashion capital at the Monnaie de Paris in 2021, and Ode to Liberty at the Trianon last March, but this year EIDM has chosen to focus on the theme Fashion Tech.

Tomorrow's parade... Wear The Future
Each year, students base their projects on a key theme around which all projects revolve. At the beginning of this new era of visioning the future of the fashion and luxury industry, students have compared their ingenuity to propose their vision of the fashion of the future. The EIDM event fashion show was created and organized by all first-year Bachelors, all courses combined (fashion communication and marketing, Fashion Business, Fashion Art Direction and Styling and Luxury Management) and staged a true journey into the future. Selection of the location, design of the mood boards and Team silhouettes, from the definition of the graphic charter, the management of communication strategies, the casting of models (mannequins) and accessories, etc., the students organized this event in its entirety according to their respective skills.

And on the program…
The fashion show " Wear the Future", presented in three acts, began with a pre-show on the theme of Fashion Tech. Subsequently, nine collections with futuristic themes were presented: Kalista, Reflet, Trinity, Chromatica, HEOM, Ere Sybilline, Leatherix, Narciss et Futuristic Norm.

Kalista is a collection based on science fiction, which illustrates the advent of a new civilization with a new government where each of the looks finds themselves to be a character of power, authority, or even divinity. Like the emblematic sagas Star Wars ou Dune, .

Reflection reflects a narcissistic cracking behavior where society is obsessed with the frenetic sharing of content. This reflects a terrible desire to obtain an emotional and affective return thanks to this relationship between social networks and real life. A weight that is found in the heavy chains of the collection. However, the gaze can take flight thanks to the reflective, light and luminous materials... a refocusing on oneself.

Trinity Set in 2037, agents embark on a journey to a parallel universe to save the planet. The goal is to bring new technologies. While their actions are often violent, they take care of their appearance with clothes suited to their mission. After a long journey, they return carrying huge bags full of new technologies to save the world.

Chromatic tells the story of the year 3000 when the Earth is suffering from a deadly virus pandemic... only women survive. The virus, developing in their bodies, gives them the power to form a new, much better population. However, a surviving man has also been able to develop his powers, he allies himself with these women to rebuild everything. The collection highlights its preciousness with chrome tones such as gold and silver and metallic colors such as red, pink and green.

HEOM (Hybrid Explicit Organic Mistresses) takes place in a post-apocalyptic universe that sees creatures land on Earth. Coming from another galaxy where they are queens, they embody the power to challenge our world, crush it and dominate it. Touches of color brighten the collection… neon yellow reflecting technology and the sun, or red, symbolizing this passion that must be passed on.

Sybilline Era tells the story of a consumer society that is gradually emptying the world of all forms of life, leaving only waste. The population is driven by this desire for technological superiority that ends up destroying its environment. In this hierarchical system, a revolution is born, generating privileged groups and punks running towards civil war. The cyberpunk collection is full of bursts of bright and cheerful colors. Upcycling is therefore the ray of sunshine that must illuminate the new era.

Leatherix is a collection set in an apocalyptic world where humans are no longer there, and their physical appearance is controlled by machines. This aspect is put into the creation of looks, beauty, and accessories.

daffodil is a futuristic dimension with new-age technological advances. The characters have only one desire… to reinvent themselves again and again, in search of perpetual innovation. The collection embodies this vision of the future with the key words… originality and creativity. Each character has a different silhouette, a distinct personality and a unique style. The avant-garde vision of tomorrow!

Futuristic Norm FW22 from the Kabaz brand invites itself into a vision of futuristic clothing standards. Everything takes place in a dimension where the population has migrated to another planet, having exhausted their own resources on Earth. The desire is now to rebuild new bases by returning to the roots. The collection is inspired by technical mountain clothing and the Gorpcore style. The idea is to transport the freedom of life in the great outdoors onto the asphalt.
A cocktail reception rounded off the evening in style. Since 2019, Baptiste Giabiconi, the official sponsor of the EIDm, has been a staunch supporter. Support also came from the Gabonese Ambassador to Paris, various partners, Miss Ile-de-France, and all the influencers in attendance. The date is already set for the next edition!
