When we talk about the world of luxury and perfumery in Andorra, one name resonates with timeless clarity: Perfumeria JuliaThis family business, founded in 1939 by the visionary Júlia Bonet, perfectly embodies refinement, innovation and excellence in the art of perfume and cosmetics.
One woman, one vision
Born on July 28, 1922, in Escaldes-Engordany, Júlia Bonet Fité was not only an entrepreneur, but a true pioneer with an innate marketing sense. Her career began in a modest hair salon located on the ground floor of the family home. Driven by an insatiable curiosity and keen intuition, she quickly recognized the lack of beauty products in Andorra. Her focus on France, particularly Toulouse, allowed her to import rare and refined items that she made available to her clients. This natural sense of service and exclusivity marked the beginning of an exceptional entrepreneurial adventure.
From a boutique to a beauty empire
Building on her initial success, Júlia decided to dedicate herself fully to perfumery and cosmetics, anticipating the social transformations and the rise of tourism in Andorra. In 1958, she opened a new boutique on Avenida Meritxell in Andorra la Vella, followed by a third in Escaldes in 1961, named "Anmei," a loving tribute to her three daughters, Anna Maria, Melània, and Immaculada.
A family network with international influence
Perfumeria Júlia's success in Andorra paved the way for expansion beyond its borders. In 1983, the first boutique outside the principality opened in Pas de la Casa, attracting an international clientele eager for exclusivity. In 1999, the brand took a strategic step forward with its establishment in Spain, where several brands were launched. Today, Perfumeria Júlia has more than 70 stores between Andorra and Spain and employs over 600 people, embodying a true beauty empire.
A temple of luxury and excellence
The undisputed jewel of this heritage is undoubtedly the flagship store of Andorra, nestled on the emblematic Carlemanya Avenue. With its 600 m² entirely dedicated to the world of perfumery and cosmetics, it offers a immersive sensory experience, where captivating scents, cutting-edge expertise and the discovery of the latest beauty innovations combine.
Beyond the biggest international brands, Perfumeria Julia also unveils its own creations, notably its exclusive line “Tales of Perfume”A true tribute to artisanal know-how, this refined collection captures the very essence of the house through exceptional olfactory compositions, developed from rare and precious ingredients.
Conceived as an ode to travel, each fragrance in the collection evokes an emblematic destination – Marrakech, Tokyo, Shanghai, Dubai… – translating the soul of these fascinating places into fragrance. Created with the desire to highlight the talent of master perfumers, this line transforms each bottle into a work of art, where the fragrance becomes a story, an emotion, a memory etched in the air.
The fragrances, presented in elegant 100 ml bottles, are distinguished by their high concentrations – from 20% of extracts and essential oils – guaranteeing remarkable hold and intensity. Every detail has been designed with extreme care: from the design of the bottle to the finesse of the cap, to the refinement of the case, thus embodying the excellence and timeless elegance of Perfumeria Julia.
Júlia Bonet passed away on September 3, 2011, at the age of 89, but her star continues to shine through the company she founded and which her daughters now run with passion and rigor. Her influence is such that a stamp bearing her image was issued in 2019 by the Andorran Post Office, paying tribute to this iconic figure in the business world.
Perfumeria Júlia is much more than just a brand: it is a real lifestyle where beauty combines with authenticity, passion, and excellence. An Andorran success story that continues to enchant perfume and cosmic lovers, from Andorra to Spain.
