Founded in Amsterdam in 2008, combining all the assets of a strong conviction, the company Join the Pipe defends a major challenge: rehabilitating tap water for all uses, and making it accessible to all, for daily consumption, and fighting against a scourge, plastic.
Join the Pipe is above all a vast movement whose objective is to better tame water by fighting against plastic pollution, in a renewed, ethical and inventive ecology.

A sustainable solution to single-use bottles.
Faced with the widespread use of single-use bottles, Join the Pipe offers a simple, practical and economical alternative: the refillable bottle, made from bio-sourced materials!
It is therefore with a view to ecological innovation that Join the Pipe has chosen a bio-sourced material for its reusable bottles, Braskem's "I'm Green™" polyethylene. This new-generation bioplastic is made from sugarcane, which is entirely of renewable origin:
A limited carbon impact
Throughout its life cycle, sugarcane cultivation naturally captures CO² from the atmosphere, helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
A real alternative to plastic
Bio-sourced polyethylene has the same performance characteristics as petrochemical polyethylene (strength, lightness, resistance), its only difference being that its resource is renewable.
An economical and circular manufacturing process
Sugarcane bagasse is recycled into green energy production that powers manufacturing plants, saving resources.
For the design, its "City Water" bottles are inspired by the architectural icons of the world's major cities to convey a universal message: water is a common good, accessible, and to be preserved, provided that it is better requalified in everyday use.
Let's stop dreaming, these bottles are here to last and be reused, it's up to us to play our part in reducing our plastic footprint every day. Filling stations for a renewed city. To this end, Join the Pipe installs tap water filling stations in public spaces, in schools, businesses, and train stations. In modern, elegant, and robust fountains, it becomes easy to consume local, healthy, free, and responsible products. All that's left is to combine pleasure and ecology to transform the act of drinking into an ecological gesture, one conscious and responsible sip at a time.
A solidarity model: 1 bottle purchased, 1 project funded
The Join the Pipe association goes far beyond the fight against plastic. Its business model is based on a strong commitment to solidarity: revenue from the sale of its products funds projects to provide access to drinking water and sanitation in developing countries.
Every bottle sold, every fountain installed, helps drill boreholes, equip schools, and create water infrastructure where water is still a luxury. A community committed to a cleaner world.
Joining the Pipe also means participating in a collective dynamic: that of a community of responsible consumers on a global scale. The organization leads local initiatives such as river cleanups, awareness campaigns, and educational activities to raise awareness and take action against the scourge of plastic pollution.
With Join the Pipe, water is a lever for a sustainable future. Combining ecology, solidarity, and responsible design, the company demonstrates that a small gesture like replacing disposable plastic bottles with reusable ones can have a global impact. By forging links between modern cities and the most remote countryside, this Dutch initiative restores water to its true value: universal, essential, and shared.
