The family group Marki & Co is enriching the Parisian gastronomic landscape with the opening of the Onyx restaurant, a new address that adds to its collection of beautiful, trendy Parisian restaurants.

This chic restaurant, located just steps from the Opera, at the back of the building housing Galeries Lafayette Haussmann, already stands out with its architecture designed by the Anegil firm, which creates a dialogue between different atmospheres.
The ground floor showcases the building's architectural heritage with its Eiffel-inspired metal structure, enhanced by a graphic glass roof and a skylight. A central walnut bar, where some of the staff officiate, enlivens the space and naturally guides visitors to a beautiful staircase.
Upstairs, a backlit onyx marble wall marks the entrance to an “apartment” with Haussmannian codes. The space plays with classic codes – moldings,
herringbone parquet flooring, bronze mirrors – all while incorporating a few contemporary touches. Two more intimate spaces are hidden there: a study in shades of
red and purple for private bookings, and an alcove for confidential lunches.
In the kitchen, chef Benjamin Marotine, with his experience at Louis XV – Alain Ducasse and at the Spoon restaurant, offers a reinterpretation of French gastronomy.
enriched by her travels. Her menu oscillates between tradition and modernity, favoring tangy, bitter, and spicy combinations. The sea bass ceviche is served with a white yuzu-soy sauce (€19), while the sweetbreads (€49) are served with a Spritz-style condiment. The Galician octopus (€32) is paired with a coffee emulsion and piquillo pepper condiment.
The desserts showcase a creative approach to French pastry: the Paris-Brest “Signature” (€18) combines pecan-hazelnut praline with caramelized vanilla ganache, while the millefeuille (€15) – also “Signature” – revisits this iconic pastry with toasted vanilla cream and notes of tonka bean.
At lunchtime, Onyx offers affordable set menus (starter-main course or main course-dessert for €35, full menu for €42), while in the evening you can discover an assortment of dishes from the menu offered in a five-course tasting menu for €89.
An ideal address for business lunches, dinners with friends or romantic evenings.
