Perched on the peaceful banks of the Allier, the restaurant Bridge Inn is a must-see for lovers of refined gastronomy. This Michelin-starred establishment Michelin boldly and subtly combines the culinary influences of the Britain and Auvergne, creating a unique sensory experience where marine flavors meet the treasures of the Auvergne terroir.
A historic address in the heart of Auvergne
Founded in 1835, theBridge Inn was first a relay point welcoming boatmen navigating the Allier, one of the last wild rivers in Europe. A place of passage and conviviality, it has survived the ages while retaining its authentic charm. In 2005, Christelle and Rodolphe Regnauld fell under the spell of this building and decided to bring it back to life.
In 2019, a bold renovation transformed the establishment: while preserving its historic character, the inn was enriched with a modern, rustic interior inspired by New York lofts. This balance between tradition and contemporaneity is also reflected in the dishes, where local produce is enhanced by the chef's creativity.
Signature cuisine between land and sea
Originally from Brittany, Rodolphe Regnauld creates a cuisine of emotion, where his childhood memories blend with the gastronomic riches of Auvergne, his wife Christelle's native land. This culinary fusion gives rise to bold dishes, harmoniously blending seafood and local delicacies.
Among his signature creations, the John Dory fillet accompanied by dried Auvergne ham and a wine sauce, Côtes-d'Auvergne Madargue, perfectly illustrates this alchemy of flavors. Lobster marries sweetbreads in a striking play of textures and contrasts, while sublime vegetables, sprinkled with delicate touches like Mertensia oyster leaf, perfect the aesthetic and balance of the plates.
Committed to seasonal cuisine, the chef favors local produce and collaborates closely with regional producers. Each ingredient is carefully selected, ensuring freshness and authenticity in every bite.
An exceptional cellar to enhance the experience
L'Auberge du Pont doesn't just delight with its cuisine: its wine cellar contains more than 1 wines, showcasing great French wines as well as lesser-known gems selected with passion. This meticulous selection allows for perfectly balanced food and wine pairings, perfectly enhancing each dish.
Excellence rewarded with a Michelin star
The result of meticulous work and unwavering passion, the Auberge du Pont received its first Michelin star in 2021. This prestigious recognition recognizes the Regnaulds' commitment to offering bold and refined cuisine in a setting that is authentic, warm, and elegant.

An invitation to gastronomic discovery
To offer a complete immersion in its culinary world, the Auberge du Pont offers several signature menus. Among them, "Les Bateliers," "D'ici & d'ailleurs," and "Balade des côtes Bretonnes aux monts d'Auvergne" invite you on a unique culinary journey, where each dish tells a story, combining revisited traditions and boundless creativity.
Much more than just a restaurant, the Auberge du Pont is a true ode to local produce, to knowledge transfer, and to innovation. In this place where time seems to stand still, each visit becomes a memorable experience, celebrating the subtle alliance between two powerful culinary identities: Brittany and Auvergne.
