Les Précieuses Généreuses, eco-responsible wedding dresses

Everyone knows by now that the textile sector is one of the most polluting in the world. precious Generous, creator of custom-made wedding dresses, has decided to manufacture them by hand in France and in an eco-responsible way.

A wedding dress is a once-in-a-lifetime garment. Charline Loisel, designer of Les Précieuses Généreuses, decided to take on the challenge and turn this one-day dress into a piece a woman can wear throughout her life. It's made from eco-friendly fabric and can be transformed into a chic dress for a business meeting, or even an evening gown.

A reinvented wedding universe

Charline Loisel launched the Les Précieuses Généreuses concept to differentiate herself from other designers working in the highly traditional world of weddings. She envisions wedding dresses to be durable over time—they should be able to be altered and worn again after the wedding.

In a haute couture spirit, preserving the individuality of each woman, the creations of the house of Les Précieuses Généreuses are modern, bold, yet equally timeless. All dresses are handmade in the house's workshops, in the purest tradition of French fashion, and are tailored to the bride's body shape.

Charline Loisel is careful and meticulous, she is particularly attached to superb finishes and each elegant detail sublimates her dresses.

Handcrafted and eco-responsible manufacturing

The house Les Précieuses Généreuses is very sensitive to environmental issues and the designer always works in the respect for the earth…an inspiration that gave the name to his first collection, “Nature”.

The choice is simple: you have to limit your impact on the environment and use natural, local materials... these are mainly silks, linens and Caudry lace, but also materials from organic farming and certified by the GOTS label.

Charline Loisel says: “ My ambition is to raise awareness about ecology, local consumption, craftsmanship and French haute couture know-how. ».

Eco-friendly accessories

The accessories created by Charline Loisel for brides, grooms, witnesses, and guests are made in limited, or sometimes unique, series using fabric scraps. The same goes for the preserved flower accessories: hair pins, flower combs, flower crowns, and boutonnieres.
