Riva 102′ Corsaro Super, the new era of flybridge yachts

Riva 102′ Corsaro Super, the new era of flybridge yachts

Contemporary, sporty and with spaces created to feel in permanent contact with the sea. With a new exterior and interior design, this heir to the Corsaro 100′ is the ideal flybridge for a sublime cruising experience… let’s discover the Riva 102’ Corsaro Super!

Embracing heritage and contemporary trends, raising the standards of aesthetics, habitability and comfort through innovations in design, style and technology, these are the sources of inspiration for every boat that leaves one of Riva's shipyards. The flybridge range is no exception, as it continues its renewal with new models of timeless elegance and forward-looking lines, such as the Riva 82′ Diva, a brand new project from the Sarnico brand whose name was revealed during the Ferretti group's press conference at Boot Düsseldorf, and the Riva 102′ Corsaro Super, the flybridge that pays homage to one of the most popular top-sellers of recent years, the 100′ Corsaro.

The Riva 102′ Corsaro Super is more than a successor, it is the evolution of a success, driven by a clear vision of creation to explore, rework and improve. Faithful to the sporty and aerodynamic lines of its predecessor, the latest addition to the Riva flybridge range presents an inimitable profile, even more elegant and decisive… masterful touches of dark color and the large window that runs along the entire hull to the design of the hard top, create new modern, fluid and harmonious lines, giving life to a boat with a completely renewed image.

With an overall length of 30,24 metres (99ft 3in) and a maximum width of 6,70 metres (22ft 0in), the Riva 102′ Corsaro Super is the result of the collaboration between Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta, founders of Officina Italiana Design, the Product Strategy Committee headed by Piero Ferrari and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department.

Among the most striking new features of the Riva 102′ Corsaro Super is the complete redesign of the superstructure, based on a contemporary and sporty concept and more generous dimensions. The yacht's distinctive silhouette stretches like an arrowhead, giving it an elegant and assertive profile. At the stern, new glass facades improve the vessel's aerodynamics. On board the Riva 102′ Corsaro Super, the focus is clearly on optimizing space and increasingly direct contact with the sea, with the aim of enjoying a unique cruising experience.

Outdoor areas

Upon boarding the Riva 102′ Corsaro Super, you will not fail to notice one of the main new features of this model: the completely redesigned aft area, creating a real beach that extends over 35 square meters and meets all the expectations of owners looking for ever closer contact with the sea and nature in their relaxation area. The 15 square meter bathing platform has been lowered, with side access to the cockpit on each side and an extra wide and extra comfortable sun lounger in the center, which hides the entrance to the garage area. Two recessed doors, one on each side of the sundeck, give access to two large storage spaces (280 liters each).

The 20-square-meter cockpit is functional and elegant, furnished with a comfortable sofa that can be combined with independent furniture, such as a teak dining table and Riviera chairs – produced by the renowned Italian design studio Talenti – or a coffee table, perfect for transforming this relaxation area into a dining area according to the owner's needs and preferences. On the starboard side, before entering the main salon, an external staircase connects the cockpit area to the upper deck, while a large bar with an ice machine is located on the port side.

Main deck

Canaletto walnut is the dominant wood in the main saloon, enhanced in the unmistakable Riva style by polished surfaces creating a magnificent play of reflections in conjunction with the light entering through the large windows. The ceilings and floors are light in color – titanium-effect satin lacquer and fine wool carpet respectively – contrasting with the polished black Marquina marble accents repeated along the entire length of the yacht, from bow to stern.

The interior design and layout of the main saloon are the result of a rigorous redesign. Two layouts are available, each created to meet the different needs expressed by the owners. In the standard version, the dining area with its generous table that seats eight is located aft, while the living area is the main feature of the central area of the boat. A second layout is also available, in which the lounge, generous sofas, and armchairs are located near the entrance, creating a single continuous space with the outdoor relaxation area. The dining table, on the other hand, is located forward of the lounge, near the galley located aft on the same deck. In both configurations, the lounge and dining areas are visually separated by an optical illusion created by an elegant frame in black or white marble with a high-gloss finish that extends to the walls; upon request, marble elements can also be laid perpendicular to the floor for an even more striking effect. The area is illuminated by linear elements inserted into the wall and ceiling panels, creating delicate light patterns that illuminate the rooms without dominating them. The 75-inch television is centrally positioned in the most classic layout—set in a stainless steel frame with linear lighting niches—while in the layout with the living room at the rear, it features a 55-inch screen and descends from a recess in the ceiling above the sofa.

Light is in the spotlight throughout the main deck: large windows open onto the side walkways, allowing natural light to enter throughout the yacht, reflecting off the polished surfaces of the furniture and ensuring that contact with the outside world is never lost.

Further forward, on the starboard side, is the spacious 11 m² galley, designed in a horseshoe shape to make the most of the available space. The worktop is white Corian and the cupboard doors are polished white lacquer; the appliances, including the American-style refrigerator, and the wall cladding are satin-finished stainless steel. The crew's extendable wooden dining table is opposite the entrance, next to the door leading to the lower deck and crew quarters.

On the left side of the main saloon is the entrance to the large and elegant owner's suite, spanning the entire width of the boat and extending forward to the bow. This cabin is the yacht's flagship, with redesigned windows extended to two meters, amplifying the sense of space that is a distinctive feature of the widebody configuration and offering breathtaking views on both sides of the yacht. Outside, the redesigned windows constitute a new graphic sign that helps to update the yacht's line. The refined minimalism of the interior design of the master cabin is based on an alternation between the pale hues of the carpet, fabrics, and upholstery, and the dark tones of the furniture and Canaletto walnut walls characterized by mirrored surfaces and cool colors. The king-size bed, with a black leather headboard and sides, is the flagship element in the center of the cabin, framed by back-painted black glass elements. Opposite the bed is another black back-painted glass panel, which houses a 43-inch television in a stainless steel frame. On the left side of the master cabin is a daybed with cushions in off-white Bouclè Loro Piana fabric and three cleverly designed storage drawers beneath it. On the other side, opposite the daybed, is a triangular-section worktop entirely covered in black back-painted glass, serving as a desk overlooking the water. Forward, the bathroom, on a single level, is furnished with an elegant C-shaped basin that can be customized to the owner's taste and is also available in black or white marble, with double sinks. On both sides of the bathroom are the toilet area and the shower cubicle. The owner's cabin is completed by a spacious wardrobe at the entrance, with full-height back-painted black glass doors and stainless steel handles.

In the master cabin, as in the guest cabins on the lower deck, the style echoes the wood of the main deck, with chiaroscuro contrasts and mirror-finished surfaces creating plays of light and shadow with the large windows on either side of the suite. As always, special attention has been paid to soundproofing in this area. The forward and aft walls of the master suite feature additional insulation to ensure maximum comfort, protecting against noise from other areas and the galley.

Lower deck

The guest areas are divided into three VIP double cabins and one guest cabin with two twin beds, all equipped with en-suite bathrooms and decorated in the elegant light and dark color scheme that characterizes the yacht's interiors. All cabins are equipped with wardrobes, in addition to hidden storage spaces under the bed and bedside tables. Forward, the crew quarters consist of the captain's cabin with an en-suite bathroom, and two identical crew cabins with bunk beds and private bathrooms.

At the stern, in addition to the engine room, the spacious garage can hold two water toys and a Williams 445 L tender. The entire area is a perfect combination of comfort and practicality, with quick and easy procedures for launching and retrieving the tender and water toys.

Upper deck

The flybridge, accessed from the main deck via a steel staircase, can be furnished aft with sun loungers and freestanding furniture in neutral colors such as light gray. Further forward, completely covered by the hardtop, is the cocktail area—equipped with a bar cabinet with ample storage, a refrigerator, a grill, an optional ice maker, and high stools—and the alfresco dining area. On the starboard side is the second helm station, which features an integrated NSOevo3S navigation system with a 16-inch touchscreen. The generous forward area, connected to the flybridge by a side walkway on the port side, offers 17 square meters of furnished space with a large sunbathing area and a forward-facing panoramic sofa. Even further forward is a fully soundproofed technical room that offers storage and can also accommodate a washing machine and dryer.

Propulsion and technology

At the owner's request, the new Riva 102′ Corsaro Super can be fitted with a standard pair of MTU 16V 2000 M96 engines, each rated at 2 mhp for top and cruising speeds of 435 and 26 knots respectively, or with a pair of MTU 23V 16 M2000L engines rated at 96 mhp, enabling the yacht to reach a top speed of over 2 knots and a cruising speed of 638 knots.

The raised deck can be reached both from outside the yacht, via the flybridge, and from inside, via a staircase on the main deck located near the storage room. The cockpit has also been redesigned and improved in style: ergonomic and elegant, it features a TwinDisc electro-hydraulic steering system with independent rudder control for sporty cornering optimization and a SIMRAD COMMAND LOOP navigation system. This technology integrates on-board control with navigation and maneuvering commands, allowing the entire yacht to be managed from five touchscreens (16-inch in the standard version and 19-inch as an option) configured to display the various functions and control systems according to the captain's preferences. Behind the helm seat, which can be adjusted to ensure maximum cruising comfort, is a comfortable L-shaped sofa.

The Riva 102′ Corsaro Super is equipped with Hydrotab automatic dynamic trim interceptors, ensuring maximum ease of use and optimized fuel consumption. To minimize rolling at anchor and underway, the yacht is equipped with Sleipner Vector Fins. Upon request, two Seakeeper NG9 systems can be installed for even greater stability and maximum onboard comfort.
