VivaTech 2024 Paris marked a new milestone in the history of global technology events. With over 165 visitors, a 000% increase compared to 10, and 2023 participating startups, a 13% increase, VivaTech has established itself as the essential meeting place for innovation and technology players.
This event reached more than 2 billion people on social media, doubling its impact compared to the previous year.
Place for meetings and business opportunities
VivaTech is recognized for its role as a catalyst for business connections and financing. This year, more than 400 business connections were made solely through digital means. The startups attending had the opportunity to build business relationships with companies from more than 000 industries and meet with more than 25 investors, including Accel, KKR, Lightspeed, Sequoia Capital, Eurazeo, and GV (Google Ventures). These exchanges opened up unprecedented opportunities for growth and innovation for the startups.
Financing Opportunities
Among the highlights of the event, startups were able to present their projects to a panel of renowned investors, facilitating access to the financing needed for their future development. These meetings helped strengthen the global entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Innovations were at the heart of VivaTech 2024, with a particular focus on Artificial Intelligence and Sustainable Tech. AI Avenue, a new area dedicated to AI, attracted considerable attention, with nearly 40% of exhibitors showcasing cutting-edge AI solutions.
VivaTech: International appeal
VivaTech continues to attract an international audience with representatives from over 120 countries. National pavilions, including those from Canada, Taiwan, Brazil, the United Kingdom, and Germany, showcased a variety of innovations. Japan, named Country of the Year, showcased a vibrant tech ecosystem with over 40 startups and a ministerial delegation.
Focus on Africa
Africa was also in the spotlight with the Africa Tech Lab, showcasing the continent's talent and startups. The AfricaTech Awards recognized the most innovative startups in the fields of Climate Tech, Health Tech, FinTech, and Ecommerce, illustrating the dynamism of African innovation.
Prestigious Participants and Speakers
Influential figures such as John Kerry, Rachel Delacour, Robin Li, Arthur Mensch, Yann LeCun, and Dario Amodei enriched the debates on the future of technology and innovation. The presentations covered diverse topics, ranging from artificial intelligence to sustainable technology, highlighting the importance of responsible technology.
Diversity and inclusion at the heart of VivaTech
Diversity was once again highlighted at VivaTech, with over 40% of speakers on stage being women. The Female Founder Challenge recognized Albane Dersy, co-founder of inbolt, for her remarkable contributions to robotics and AI. The 100 + 100 mentoring program connected 100 young girls with influential women in tech, creating career paths.
Initiatives such as Impact Builders and the presence of Femtech France have reinforced VivaTech's commitment to inclusion and diversity. Impact Builders, in partnership with Diversidays, aims to accelerate the impactful businesses of entrepreneurs often excluded from the tech ecosystem.

VivaTech 2024 saw many exclusive announcements, including:
- BiPed AI: A robotics solution for the visually impaired integrating obstacle detection and scene description.
- Everdian: A real-time data analysis solution powered by AI to anticipate and overcome crises.
- Bioteos: An air purifier using bio-simulants and micro-algae to combat indoor pollution.
Elon Musk presented the Cybertruck for the first time in France, marking a highlight of the event. Software République unveiled its "U1st Vision" concept, an innovation in citizen-centric mobile services.

More than 400 international speakers shared their perspectives on current and future challenges, with a particular focus on AI and sustainable technology. Among the speakers, iconic figures such as Elon Musk, Eric Schmidt, Faye Iosotaluno, Hiroshi Mikitani, Linda Yaccarino, and Bernard Arnault enriched the discussions.
