"Our pieces are not just decorative pieces; they bear witness to a fascinating history: that of aviation. Each one tells a unique story, the exploits of a pilot, an aerial adventure, a technical feat... They are also industrial and technological heritage, a legacy that continues to inspire us," says Cédric Bayle, creator of Flight Inspiration Design.

The Brute and Design collections, unique pieces…

To protect, enhance and give new life to iconic aviation components, Flight Inspiration Design combines recycling and upcycling to offer two collections:

Brute Collection : aeronautical parts preserved in their original condition, distinguished by their original beauty and evocative power, ready to be exhibited or modified according to the project and the wishes of the buyer.

Design collection : inspired objects and furniture, derived from aviation parts shaped in the workshops, ready to give life to creative decorations that pay homage to design and the fascinating world of the airplane.

… tailor-made services

From searching for specific and/or rare pieces to carrying out personalized projects, including the rental of decorative objects and furniture for events or decorative creations, Flight Inspiration Design passionately strives to make every dream come true. Once the request has been received and, if applicable, the feasibility of the project has been studied, the company supports its French and international clients at every stage of the project's implementation, always with the aim of providing a unique experience.

A Pratt & Whitney JT8D mirror. Introduced by engine manufacturer Pratt & Whitney in the 1960s, the JT8D jet engine revolutionized aviation with its dual-flow architecture, optimizing efficiency and reducing fuel consumption. The jets powered Boeing 727 and 737 aircraft and McDonnell Douglas DC-9 aircraft. This mirror consists of a titanium rotor from the low-pressure fifth stage. Thanks to careful and high-quality manufacturing, its mirror-polished surface reveals the brilliance of this unique piece, which perfectly combines technology and elegance. The mirror is from a Pratt & Whitney Circa 1960, made of titanium, mirror-polished finish, measuring 67 x 4 cm and weighing 25 kg.

A Boeing 707 observer's seatThe Boeing 707 is a legend because it was the first swept-wing airliner with its engines located in nacelles under the wings. This would later become the standard for almost all other aircraft. This Boeing 707 cockpit seat is mounted on a custom base inspired by the original running board. The piece is painted "off-white" for the running board and base, and "cherry" for the frame. The beige trim is made by Atelier Rose Martine in Saint-Ouen. Embark on an adventure. The seat manufactured by Weber Aircraft comes from a Boeing 707 of a January 1967, made of aluminum alloy, cherry and cream paint finish and off-white trim with dimensions of 117 x 55 x 72 cm and weight of 20 kg.

An ASH 62 radial engineThe Shvetsov ASH-62 engine was designed in 1935 and quickly became the mainstay of Soviet aviation. It was an evolution of the Wright R-1820, which was then manufactured under license. This 9-cylinder, 1-horsepower radial engine is particularly capable of handling extreme conditions, such as the freezing cold of Siberia or the scorching heat of the desert. It is mounted on the legendary Antonov An000 biplane. To bring this masterpiece of mechanical engineering back to life, this engine was completely disassembled, cleaned, and cut, then each component was completely mirror-polished and reassembled… a titanic task. Thanks to this long-term, meticulous work driven by passion, this radial engine recreates the legend in all its splendor. The engine, built by Shvetsov Company circa 2, is made of aluminum and various materials, mirror-polished finish and red paint, with dimensions of 1935 x 145 x 240 cm and a weight of 35 kg.

A HU-16 Albatross officeIn the mid-16th century, the famous American company Grumman designed the HU-16 Albatross seaplane. This seaplane embodies the alliance between aviation and navigation. Known for its high wings, hull, and retractable floats, the HU-1950 Albatross can perform search and rescue missions on land or water, as well as transport and maritime patrol missions. Inspired by a train door, the craftsmen at Flight Inspiration Design have imagined a mirror-polished, red-painted desk with protective glass on which to write a new page of history. The desk comes from a Grumman Circa 103, made of aluminum, mirror-polished, red-painted, measuring 92 x 76 (at its widest point) x 20 cm and weighing XNUMX kg.

About Cédric Bayle

A bush pilot father and an antique dealer mother... Cédric Bayle, founder of Flight Design Inspiration, grew up between two passionate people and two worlds of passion. In 2001, after accumulating various professional experiences, he took over the family antique shop and developed a collection of furniture and industrial objects.

At an aeronautical event in the United Kingdom, he discovered aviation furniture and was impressed by the pieces made from aircraft fuselages. From then on, Cédric has continued to cultivate his passion at the crossroads of his parents' and to share it with as many people as possible. For decorators, interior designers, decorators, and individuals, he seeks out parts from legendary aircraft that he recycles or upcycles to provide original or designer decorative elements, all bearing the heritage of aeronautics.

Today he launches www.flightinspirationdesign.fr, allowing aviation and decoration enthusiasts to access unique and often extraordinary pieces.
