It was at the Best Jewelry Designer show that the meeting with Pascal Jacquot, creator of the Sanlys house, took place.
Founded in 1992, this family-owned jewelry house takes its name from the combination of its creator's daughter's first name, "Sandrine," and the city of Lyon, where the company is based. At Sanlys, we are passionate about the meticulous craftsmanship of jewelry that may at first glance seem traditional but require the mastery of innovative techniques to create.

Exceptional technicality
One of the jeweler's strong points is the expertise of the craftsmen with whom he works closely. There are currently six of them in his workshop and they are all specialists in their field: setter, polisher, etc. The pieces created by the craftsman are of diverse shapes and inspirations but they all have one thing in common: the quality of their manufacture. Indeed, with his 6 years of experience in the world of jewelry, Pascal Jacquot never stops pushing his limits when it comes to developing new techniques to enhance his creations.
Recently, the craftsman has developed a new setting system with a special grain that allows everything behind the stone to be completely openworked. Thanks to this technique, it is now possible to have a piece of jewelry made with less metal, therefore more refined, without altering the quality or lifespan of the piece. For the jeweler, a piece of jewelry must not only be beautiful but must also last over time.

The expertise of the artisans at Sanlys was thus recognized at the Best Jewelry Designers Show held in Paris last weekend. Thanks to the technical expertise used to create a compass that perfectly illustrates the theme of the imposed journey, the expertise prize was awarded to Sanlys.
A craftsman who listens to his customers
It's no coincidence that Sanlys now has 800 customers throughout France. Pascal Jacquot is constantly striving to satisfy his customers, and to achieve this, he devotes all his skills to creating jewelry that resembles the people who will wear it.
To name just one, there is the 3-band ring, enhanced with a Tahitian pearl, named Hina. This Tahitian name is, according to legend, that of a very ancient princess born from the meeting between the sun (her father) and the moon (her mother). Tahitian culture is honored through this authentic piece with surprising lines.
From salons to salons
After working exclusively with retailers until the end of 2015 to distribute his jewelry, Pascal Jacquot decided in 2016 to go directly to his potential buyers. According to him, the best way to meet the general public's demand as closely as possible is to remove one filter, namely the retailer. This is why he participated in exhibitions at the Musée du Temps in Besançon, at the Lyon fair, and now at this show. His goal is to promote Sanlys as the jewelry house at the forefront of trends while respecting the choices of his customers.
