Repossi, Serti sur Vide: a revolution in jewelry

In 2024, the jewelry brand Rested celebrates the tenth anniversary of its iconic collection Set on VacuumSince its launch in 2014, this bold collection has redefined the codes of jewelry by merging heritage and modernity.

In two chapters, Repossi revisits its archives and pays homage to new, contemporary designs. The first chapter, unveiled in January, presents innovative pieces centered around a central stone, while the second chapter, unveiled in June at the Centre Pompidou, reinvents minimalist jewelry.

Focus on a collection that embodies the avant-garde and jewelry expertise of the House.

Chapter I: An Ode to the Central Stone

The Serti sur Vide collection was born from a vision shared between Alberto Repossi and daughter GaiaTheir ambition was to rethink the classic solitaire, showcasing pear-cut diamonds carefully selected for their elegance and ideal proportions. These diamonds are enhanced by an “Eiffel Tower” setting, a technical feat that gives the illusion that the stones are floating, thus enhancing their natural brilliance.

The first chapter of this celebration presents eleven pieces combining technique and flexibility. Each creation, available in diamonds and emeralds, is distinguished by its powerful and unconventional lines. The tie necklace, for example, pays homage to a famous Alberto Repossi jewel created in 2000. These sets are designed to magnify the central stones thanks to semi-bezel settings that accentuate their beauty.

Chapter II: A Tribute to Composition

The second chapter, presented in June 2024, is inspired by a drawing found in the Maison's archives: an ear cuff designed by Alberto Repossi nearly twenty years ago. The creative studio focused on this piece to reinvent the cascading diamond, unveiling six minimalist creations combining delicacy and technicality. Each piece demonstrates the Maison's jewelry expertise, with settings designed to be as invisible as possible while still offering flexibility and movement.

This collection explores new concepts by revisiting Repossi essentials. It features phalanx rings, ear cuffs that hug the curve of the ear, plunging necklaces, asymmetrical earrings, and sculptural cuffs. Each of these pieces offers a new way to wear diamonds, highlighting their unique beauty.

Repossi's revolutionary jewelry: Innovation at the heart of Serti sur Vide

Repossi continues to innovate and surprise the world of fine jewelry. The Serti sur Vide collection perfectly embodies this desire to push the boundaries of tradition while preserving exceptional craftsmanship. Among the creations presented are:

The Plunging Necklace: A First for Repossi

The white gold and diamond plunge necklace is a major innovation in this collection. Unlike the Maison's traditional chokers, this piece features seven pear-shaped diamonds totaling 7 carats, forming an elegant cascade that perfectly hugs the décolletage. This revolutionary design reflects Repossi's stylistic evolution while preserving its heritage.

Asymmetrical earrings: A creative daring

Repossi also introduced a pair of asymmetrical earrings, once again demonstrating its ability to innovate. The right earring is set with three pear-shaped diamonds of 3 carats, while the left features a cascade of eight pear-shaped diamonds totaling 1,5 carats. This bold asymmetry illustrates the Maison's commitment to pushing the boundaries of traditional jewelry.

The phalanx ring: A reinterpretation of the solitaire ring

For the first time, Repossi presents a phalanx ring in the Serti sur Vide collection. This jewel, set with pear-cut diamonds, covers the entire phalange, giving the impression that the diamonds are floating freely around the finger. This reinterpretation of the classic solitaire embodies Repossi's avant-garde and innovation.

The ear cuff: A sculptural work

Set with 12 pear-shaped diamonds totaling 4,5 carats, the ear cuff adorns the entire ear, from lobe to cartilage. This sculptural piece pays homage to a 2010s Alberto Repossi design, reinterpreted to reflect the Maison's modernity and boldness.

The invisible mount: A technical feat

Each piece in the Serti sur Vide collection is designed with an invisible setting, allowing the diamonds to shine without distraction. This technical approach highlights the purity and brilliance of the stones, while providing unparalleled flexibility and movement.

Repossi continues to distinguish itself through its innovative approach and commitment to artisanal excellence. Each piece of jewelry is designed to be worn as a work of art, embodying the spirit of innovation and creativity that defines the Maison.
