With The Valley of Wonders™Jaeger-LeCoultre transcends its historical roots to project its expertise into an artistic dimension. Nature is viewed as a living, ever-evolving work of art, where every detail becomes material for horological interpretation.
This first capsule, composed of three Reverso One Rare Trades™, captures the visual richness ofHawaii and the poetry of Japan through limited edition of 20 pieces each.
Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso One
This iconic model stands out with a more refined, jewelry-like, and expressive interpretation of the Reverso icon, while retaining its fundamental technical features. It first and foremost incorporates the founding principle of the reversible caseThe signature of the collection, but in more slender proportions (approximately 40 x 20 mm), designed for enhanced elegance on the wrist. This accentuated verticality reinforces its feminine identity, while retaining the geometric rigor of Art Deco.
Its dial is characterized by a refined and decorative aesthetic, often crafted in mother-of-pearl with a floral typography specific to the Reverso One line. Details, such as the crown set with an inverted diamond, convey a more precious and sophisticated approach.
The Reverso One also offers a a privileged field of expression for Rare Trades™Its reverse side becomes a true artistic surface, hosting complex decorations combining Grand Feu enamel, engraving, lacquer, paillonnage or gem setting, as in collections inspired by nature or art.
From a technical standpoint, it is powered by dedicated rectangular calibersAs caliber 846 with manual winding, designed to perfectly fit the shape of the case while ensuring slimness and precision, with a power reserve of approximately 50 hours.

Reverso One “Hibiscus Syriacus”: Tropical splendor reinvented
With the Reverso One Hibiscus SyriacusJaeger-LeCoultre offers a dreamlike interpretation of Hawaiian nature, where the raw power of volcanic landscapes is transformed into an almost surreal vision. The archipelago, marked by the convergence of lava fields, lush forests, and ancient waterfalls, inspires a composition where nature appears as a living force, in perpetual flux.
On the back, the scene suspends an akialoa in mid-flightcapturing the nectar ofa blue hibiscusThe image is constructed according to a two-tiered architecture, giving the piece remarkable visual depth. The background, treated in bright blue lacquer, is enlivened by engraved undulations that amplify the perception of movement and light. In the foreground, directly sculpted in the metal, the bird and flowers take shape thanks to the Grand Feu champlevé enamel, fired at nearly 800°C.
The richness of the decoration relies on a combination of particularly demanding techniques. The bird is painted in miniature using nine different pigments, while the foliage combines layers of opaque and translucent enamel. The gradations, achieved through a dozen shades, provide a rare chromatic depth. The pistil of the lower flower, meanwhile, is enhanced by a 999/1000 gold leaf finish, subtly capturing the light.
Once these elements are completed, the two sections are assembled with extreme precision, like a mosaic, to form a perfectly homogeneous image. The whole is illuminated by 335 diamonds set on the rose gold case, bringing a jewelry dimension that extends the intensity of the decoration.
The piece can be worn on a bright blue alligator strap, in perfect harmony with the tones of the lacquered sky, or in a more spectacular version in rose gold set with an additional 384 diamonds, creating a luminous continuity around the wrist.

Reverso One “Hibiscus Rosa”: mastery of extreme color
A second interpretation of Hawaiian nature, the Reverso One Hibiscus Rosa This translates into a denser, more vibrant vision, where color becomes the true vehicle for emotion. In this composition, An akialoa is depicted perched on a red hibiscus A dazzling symbol of the archipelago, nestled amidst lush vegetation. The entire structure is made of Grand Feu champlevé enamelrequiring repeated firing at very high temperatures in order to reveal the full depth of the pigments.
Mastering the red is one of the major challenges here. This particularly unstable hue requires up to nine successive layers, each fired with extreme precision to avoid any alteration of the metallic oxides. This process yields an intense, vibrant red that gives the scene an almost organic energy. Shades of blue and green enrich this composition, creating a subtle interplay of gradations that accentuates the relief and movement.
The pistil of the lower flower is enhanced by a gold leaf embellishment, delicately capturing the light. Around this decoration, the snow-white setting amplifies the visual impact. Composed of 489 diamonds Using nine different sizes, it creates a shimmering surface where the stones appear randomly scattered, yet are perfectly controlled. This technique extends to the profiles of the rose gold case, a particularly complex area to work due to its curves, demonstrating the artisans' exacting standards.
The result is an immersive piece, where the motif visually extends to the sides, inviting the wearer to manipulate the watch and discover every detail. The reverse side design alone requires approximately 130 hours of work within the Rare Crafts™, plus an additional 60 hours for setting the rose gold bracelet, paved with 384 diamonds, creating a veritable river of light around the wrist.
For a more refined approach, the watch can also be offered with a glossy red alligator leather strap, providing a more discreet but equally consistent reading of this flamboyant interpretation of tropical nature.
Reverso One “Sakura”: the graceful elegance of Japan
La Reverso One Sakura This is part of a profoundly poetic interpretation of Japanese nature, where each element carries a symbolic dimension. In spring, Japan is covered in a veil of cherry blossoms, a spectacle of striking but fleeting beauty. sakuraThe central motif of this creation transcends mere seasonal evocation: it embodies a metaphor for existence, where the brevity of the bloom reminds us that every ending carries within it a renewal. This vision, rooted in Japanese aesthetics for centuries, finds here a horological translation of great subtlety.
Also inspired by the wild landscapes of HokkaidoThe watch features a scene of great narrative finesse on its reverse side. A white crane with a red crown, a symbol of longevity and harmony, stands by the edge of a lake, under a branch of cherry blossomThe composition plays on contrasts between materials and techniques: the petals, the reeds, and certain parts of the bird are made of Grand Feu champlevé enamel, while the body and part of the plumage are enhanced by a snowy setting of diamonds.
The Grand Feu champlevé enamel is a particularly demanding artisanal ornamentation technique, used in high-end watchmaking to create durable decorations with high chromatic intensity.
The principle is based first and foremost on a process of metal engraving, usually gold, in which the craftsman carves cavities corresponding to the different areas of the motif. These hollows constitute the "fields" (champlevé), delimited by thin metal walls that draw the contours of the image.
Once this base is prepared, the cavities are filled withE-mail, a powder composed of silica and metal oxides which determine the color. The whole is then subjected to firing at a very high temperature, generally around 800°C, in order to melt and vitrify the enamel. This operation is repeated several times, layer after layer, to obtain the desired shade, depth and texture.
The complexity lies in the fact that each firing is irreversible. Colors can evolve, change, or even disappear if the temperature is not perfectly controlled. Certain hues, such as red, are particularly unstable and require advanced expertise to master. Once the process is complete, the surface is polished to achieve a perfectly smooth finish, where the enamel is flush with the metal, creating a sharp contrast between material and color.
This technique is distinguished by its exceptional resistance over time, as well as by the visual richness it allows to be achieved. It offers a depth and luminosity that few other processes can match, making each piece a work that is both technical and artistic.
The precision of the rendering relies heavily on miniature painting. The enameller designs his own tools, even using a single-hair brush to reproduce the tiniest details, particularly the feathers on the neck and belly. This technical rigor imbues the scene with an almost lifelike realism.
Innovation continues in the setting process, with the unprecedented integration of colored stones using the snow setting technique. Artisans combine 395 blue sapphires, in two shades, with 269 brilliant-cut diamonds to recreate the shimmering reflections of sunlight on water. This work, which alone requires approximately 125 hours, gives the composition a remarkable luminous depth.
This model is framed by a grey gold case, whose cool sheen accentuates the purity of the design, and extended by a bright blue alligator strap, perfectly matched to the tones of the landscape.
With the Reverso One Sakura, Jaeger-LeCoultre offers a work where technique fades behind emotion, capturing the very essence of Japanese culture: a fragile beauty, suspended in time.
