Far from a traditional dial, the construction prioritizes a direct display of the movement, where each function becomes visible, intelligible, almost tangible.

Its role is to divide time into perfectly regular intervals, an essential condition for horological precision. In practice, it operates by oscillating, swinging back and forth around its equilibrium position. It is coupled to the balance spring, an extremely thin spring, which acts as a restoring force. With each oscillation, the balance wheel receives an impulse from the escapement and then releases this energy in a controlled manner. This repetitive cycle creates a stable frequency (often expressed in vibrations per hour, for example, 28,800 bpm), which serves as the basis for measuring time.
Its importance is structural: it sets the rhythm for the entire movement. Without a balance wheel, the wheels of the gear train would rotate freely under the influence of the mainspring, making any measurement of time impossible. The balance wheel therefore acts like a mechanical metronome, guaranteeing the regularity of the passage of time.

The entire movement, composed of 282 components, is powered by two series-coupled barrels, providing a 72-hour power reserve.

Titanium as a medium of expression: a new approach to finishes
The true innovation of this edition lies in the surface treatment. The 41,50 mm convex titanium case naturally hugs the wrist, but it is above all in the bridges that the piece distinguishes itself.
The large central bridge introduces a new finish within the manufacture: a hand-grained texture applied with a steel brush to a curved surface. This matte, almost mineral-like texture contrasts with the polished bridges of the balance wheel and barrels, creating a sophisticated interplay of light that enhances the visual depth.
The subtly varied shades of blue structure the reading of the movement and accentuate the different architectural levels. This mastery of color, far from being merely decorative, directly contributes to the functional legibility of the watch.
