Czapek & Cie, the rebirth of a historic name
The founder of Czapek & Cie, François CzapekFrançois Czapek occupies a unique place in the history of 19th-century European haute horlogerie. Born in 1811 in what is now the Czech Republic, then part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, François Czapek settled in Geneva at a young age, the epicenter of precision watchmaking. In 1839, he co-founded with Antoine Norbert de Patek the House Patek, Czapek & Ciedirectly involved in the birth of what would later become one of the world's largest watch manufacturers. After the two partners separated in 1845, François Czapek founded his own company, Czapek & Cieaffirming an independent vision of watchmaking, based on technical excellence, refined aesthetics and a resolutely international approach.
A visionary watchmaker and entrepreneur ahead of his time, François Czapek quickly developed a prestigious distribution network, notably opening a boutique Place Vendôme in Paris, at a time when very few Swiss watchmakers established themselves outside of Geneva. Official supplier to the imperial court of Napoleon IIIHe acquired considerable renown among the European aristocracy and cultural elites. His watches are distinguished by the quality of their movements, their reliability, and a refined aesthetic, combining Genevan tradition with modern design. This ability to combine innovation, elegance, and international ambition makes François Czapek one of the pioneers of independent watchmaking, whose legacy continues to inspire the contemporary revival of Czapek & Cie.
Awarded in 2016 by the GPHG Audience Award for Quai des Bergues 33bis, and then marked by the launch of Antarctica in 2020, Czapek now boasts a deliberately limited production, impeccable execution and a modern approach toGeneva establishment .

The finely refined, subtly sandblasted lugs and flanks visually lighten the case, while the seamless integration of the pushers into the crown guard reinforces the overall harmony. According to Xavier de RoquemaurelAccording to the CEO of the company, this watch is designed to accompany all facets of contemporary life, "from the marathon to evening wear".
Victory Green, a color with a strong identity
A true signature of this edition, the dial Victory Green combines a deep English green with a sophisticated guillochéDirected by Metalem, a long-standing partner of the Maison. Inspired by the "Double Sun" motif, this design is reimagined here with straighter, bolder lines, evoking the profile of a sports car tire. Treated with PVD, the green subtly shifts depending on the angle of the light, enhancing legibility while giving the dial a strong and dynamic visual presence. This aesthetic reflects the "Crossroads" philosophy: Czapek deliberately positions itself at the crossroads of watchmaking tradition and modernity.
A clear and functional chronological reading
The tachymeter scale, positioned at the periphery of the dial where the rehaut would be, pays homage to the chronographs of the early 20th century, used by pioneers of the automobile and aviation industries. The 30-minute and 12-hour counters have been redesigned: slightly recessed, encircled with diamonds and punctuated with discreet azurage, they ensure excellent legibility despite the complexity of the guilloché work. At 6 o'clock, the running small seconds and the semi-instantaneous date window are integrated with understated elegance.
The SXH3 caliber, a contemporary technical benchmark
At the heart of this chronograph beats the caliber SXH3, an automatic chronograph movement integrated into high frequency (5 Hz / 36,000 cycles per hour)Developed by Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier and specifically adapted to Czapek's requirements. The result of more than six years of research, this movement guarantees reading accuracy. 1/10th of a second, improved shock resistance and increased stability in action. It incorporates a vertical clutchpreventing any needle jump at the trigger, and featuring linear hammers that ensure perfectly synchronized hand return. Certified COSC chronometerit offers nearly 65 hours of power reserve thanks to a 22-carat rose gold oscillating weight with extensive openwork, visible through the sapphire case back.
