Bremont: the renaissance of British watchmaking

In the world of fine watchmaking, dominated for decades by the great Swiss houses, a singular voice rises from the United Kingdom: that of Bremont.

Born in 2002 from the passion of two brothers, Nick and Giles English, the brand has established itself in just a few years as the ambassador of a resolutely modern British watchmaking, rooted in engineering, adventure and aeronautical heritage.

Bremont Watch – Altitude Collection

A family takeoff, between sky and metal

The history of Bremont begins long before its founding. It is inseparable from the figure of the father, Euan English, a Royal Air Force pilot and seasoned engineer. Passionate about aviation, precision mechanics, and watches, he passed on to his sons a taste for beautiful technical objects. A tragic plane crash in 1995 sealed both a painful loss and a promise: to create a watch brand capable of uniting emotion, technology, and design.

The name Bremont himself pays homage to a French aviator, encountered by chance during a flight with a forced breakdown – a certain Antoine Bremont – who offered his hangar for an emergency landing. The elegance of the gesture and the character will forever mark the English brothers.

DNA: aviation, robustness, precision

From the outset, Bremont positioned itself in a clear segment: that ofmechanical watchmaking inspired by aeronautics, with timepieces designed to withstand extreme environments.

One of the pillars of the brand is the collaboration with Martin-Baker, the legendary British manufacturer of ejection seats. Together they developed the collection MB, tested according to the same protocols as fighter pilots' rescue equipment. Resistance to ejection, decompression, vibrations... the watch becomes a real flight instrument.

A factory that beats to the rhythm of Made in England

In 2021, Bremont reached a major milestone with the inauguration of the Bremont Manufacturing & Technology Center nicknamed The WingLocated in Henley-on-Thames, this ultra-modern facility concentrates component machining, assembly, and technical research. A first in contemporary British watchmaking, it reflects the brand's ambition: to restore England's place among the great watchmaking nations.

The challenge is considerable, but the result is there: Bremont now manufactures its own calibers, works with patented hardened steels, and pushes chronometric precision to COSC standards.

New Horizon for the Altitude Collection

In 2025, Bremont proudly enriches its heritage with new models within the Altitude collection, a line of high-performance aviation watches that extends the robust and iconic DNA of the range MB. Alongside the collections Terra Nova et Supermarine, this new generation embodies the brand's mission: to design exceptional tool watches for air, land and sea.

Perpetual Calendar

Perpetual performance

The heart of this collection is a 42 mm case in titanium grade 2, both light and resistant, uses the famous three-part construction Trip-Tick specific to Bremont.

On the model GMT, at 12 o'clock we find a domed disc decorated with a terrestrial globe — a nod to the Terra Nova Dual-Time Tourbillon from 2024. This globe rotates on a 24-hour clock, indicating the reference time (home time) using an arrow positioned on a graduated ring, divided into day/night sectors. Setting the time for this second time zone is simplified by a single push-piece integrated into the crown, allowing the indication to be advanced hour by hour.

Other correctors enhance readability: one at 2 o'clock for the date, another at 4 o'clock for the month and the leap year cycle. At 9 o'clock, the seconds are driven by a hand in the shape of a double helix, like an airplane propeller, on a sector dial adorned with the logo wayfinder from Bremont.

The complications of the perpetual calendar — date, month and leap cycle — are elegantly displayed on the counters at 3 and 6 o'clock.

Produced in limited edition of 50 copies, this titanium piece stands out with its shades of “Air Force Blue” on the dial and case, giving a watchmaking nobility to this aviator's watch with a strong temperament.

Aerial elegance

Among the major new features for 2025, we also discover theAltitude MB Meteor, a new dynamic interpretation of the MB concept. Refined, lighter, redesigned, it retains the DNA of MB models while gaining in modernity.

At his side, the news Altitude 39 Date et Altitude Chronograph GMT complete the collection with ever more versatile pieces, resolutely oriented towards the shock resistance, anti-magnetism and the extreme durabilityThese models benefit from cutting-edge materials, innovative movements and sophisticated new bracelets.

These additions confirm Bremont's commitment to pushing the boundaries ofcontemporary utilitarian watchmaking, without ever denying style or elegance.

« This year, we return to our essence and celebrate what makes Bremont unique. Our DNA is deeply rooted in aviation, a passion that continues to guide our evolution. This is reflected in the tenacity of the materials we use, and in the introduction of ever more ambitious complications in the Altitude collection. » David Cerrato, CEO of Bremont
