After 17 years working for major luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton and Gucci, and a ten-year entrepreneurial adventure in digital education (Edoki Academy*), Gaël de Dorlodot discovers another facet of the circular economy in Japan.
Fascinated by the attention paid to second-hand products and the attention to every detail in the Harajuku, Shimokitazawa, and Shibuya neighborhoods, Gaël realized the power of this economic model that respects brands, materials, and craftsmanship. In 2022, driven by a deep conviction in sustainability and the future of circular luxury, she founded Weprecious, a platform entirely dedicated to second-hand jewelry.
With Weprecious, she is bringing to life a personal and activist project inspired by her love of jewelry, luxury, and craftsmanship—a world she knows intimately. She hopes to breathe new life into iconic pieces of luxury jewelry, carefully selected for their authenticity, timeless beauty, and affordability.
Expertise and Authenticity at the Heart of Weprecious
At a time when few platforms offer rigorous guarantees on pre-owned jewelry, Weprecious stands out with a strict appraisal process and a Guarantee of Authenticity seal. Each piece of jewelry is pre-appraised before being put online and subject to a meticulous inspection before shipping. Charlotte Wannebroucq, founder of Patrimoine Joaillerie and an expert certified by the Compagnie Nationale des Experts en Art, validates each piece. With 25 years of experience in jewelry, she ensures impeccable expertise and inspires confidence in individuals.
A Secure, Ethical and Eco-Responsible Experience
Weprecious goes far beyond simple resale. It offers individuals a trusted space where every transaction is secure, eco-responsible, and focused on transparency. With a certificate of authenticity accompanying each piece of jewelry, the platform offers a serious alternative to traditional sales, allowing buyers to treat themselves to exceptional jewelry with complete peace of mind.
Weprecious thus celebrates a modern vision of jewelry, combining a love of beautiful pieces, ecological responsibility and respect for craftsmanship.
Gaël and his team will be present at the show Timeless jewels, so you will have the opportunity to go hunting for Weprecious jewelry, from November 21 to 24, 2024, at the Maison de l'Industrie, 4 place Saint-Germain-des-Prés – Paris 16rd
