Château Clarisse expands its wine tourism offering with Château de Môle

Le Clarissa Castle, owned by Olivia and Didier Le Calvez, is pleased to announce the signing of a management lease with the Mole CastleThe great complementarity and the undeniable additional assets of the vineyard thus allow it to welcome its customers in a privileged place and to extend its wine tourism offer.

Le Mô CastleThe estate is located in Puisseguin, a few kilometers from Saint-Emilion and a short walk from Château Clarisse, on a well-drained clay-limestone plateau. Seven generations of the same family have succeeded each other on this wine estate since the 18the century.

Olivia and Didier Le Calvez have undertaken to restore the gardens, reorganize the common areas, and improve the upkeep and amenities of the rooms. The five rooms at Château de Môle, named Carmenère, Malbec, Petit Verdot, Merlot, and Cabernet, are very spacious and elegantly decorated. In the heart of the Saint-Émilion vineyards, the evocative names of the rooms are ideal for a wine tourism stay. The decor of each room is a pure marvel of elegance and taste.

With the opening of a boutique within Château de Môle, customers can discover Château Clarisse's three vintages in the Castillon Côte de Bordeaux and Puisseguin Saint-Emilion Bordeaux appellations during daily tastings in the new tasting room. Daily tours of the vineyards, certified organic since 2019, are also offered. The approximately 80 m² tasting or seminar room is available. It features exposed stone and beams, with a view of the vat room. This meeting room is equipped with a large modular conference table (capacity up to 25 people) and all the video equipment necessary for seminar screenings.

"After 15 years of hard work, we are very proud to have reached this new milestone in the development of Château Clarisse. We manage Château de Môle and the marketing of its guest rooms is ensured through the select Heloïse's Choice network, which already includes the Hôtel de Toiras and the Hôtel Chais Monnet & Spa in the region," comments Didier Le Calvez, Managing Director of Château Clarisse and President of Heloïse's Choice.

About Château Clarisse

A few streets away, Château Clarisse produces one of Bordeaux's finest red wines in the purest Saint-Emilion tradition. The estate's grape varieties are 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. Tasting sessions are held regularly to enjoy a glass of Château Clarisse in this historic setting.

Passionate about wine, the need to return to their roots and the taste for challenges, Olivia and Didier Le Calvez have been producing their wines since 2010 in one of the most distinguished regions of the Bordeaux constellation, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Saint-Émilion.

Didier Le Calvez's passion for wine and its culture dates back to his childhood, when he spent vacations with his grandmother in Cadaujac. Since then, he has been interested in the evolution of the market: from the wine farms of his early youth in Pessac-Léognan, to the birth of the immense Californian vineyards of the 70s, recounting the idea of the American dream. Olivia Le Calvez is passionate about wine and its authenticity, and she has fond memories of her childhood in the vineyards of the Haut Médoc. This intimate connection that connects them both to these vineyards certainly fueled this entrepreneurial dream.

After several years of research that began in 2007, Olivia and Didier's dream has mutated into a true stone Girondine nestled in the middle of a green landscape in gentle curves of the right bank. This old wine estate with magnificent cellars has been in the hands of the Estager family for more than a century. It is surrounded by a beautiful vineyard located high (100 meters) on the Puisseguin plateau, one of the four "satellite" villages of Saint-Émilion. The Barbanne, a tributary of the Dordogne, this humble stream separates them from the famous fortified town. Thus was born Château Clarisse, named after their daughter (she was one year old when the first bottle was born in 2010), where a beautiful family story began to be written... and wines.

Château Clarisse “Old Vines” Puisseguin-Saint Emilion is the emblematic cuvée. It gives pride of place to old Merlot vines, some of which are already over 70 years old. Blended with Cabernet Franc and, since 2019, Carmenère, the production produces a silky wine with melting tannins that will seduce both lovers of fine wines and connoisseurs. This flagship of the appellation is perfect with game or meat, thanks to its unique taste and it has great aging potential.

Clarisse Puisseguin-Saint-Emillion Castle is the generic cuvée, a perfect blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, a blend that has made the great wines of Saint Emilion world-renowned. This wine is fruity to delight the greatest number, and perfect with fine red meats.

Clarice Castillon Estate, Côtes de Bordeaux is the only single-varietal cuvée, 100% Merlot, from exceptional clay-limestone terroirs. This fruity and flavorful wine, to be enjoyed both young and after a few years of aging, is destined to become one of the benchmarks of the appellation.
