Firste Champagne Tasting will be held in Paris on Saturday, May 13, 2023. For the first time, winemakers and Champagne Houses will be taking over the prestigious Palais Brongniart.

Organized by A land of Wines, the event is growing with a packed program of master classes, fun workshops and a blind tasting competition from the biggest champagne houses.
An unmissable Champagne event in Paris
All the Champagne terroirs are setting up camp in Paris in honor of these sparkling wines that thrill every taste bud. After attracting nearly 1 visitors last year, the event is being held for the first time this year at the Palais Brongniart. The Palais Brongniart is a historic and luxurious venue, the ideal place for an introductory stroll through Champagne and to meet the many players in the industry.

"The Palais Brongniart embodies our desire to promote this event; the previous event was sold out at the Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild. No other event in France brings together so many renowned wine estates and winemakers in one place. It's an opportunity to improve your knowledge, to choose champagnes for your table, for spring and summer, for weddings or communions... and to find a destination for a wonderful weekend just one hour from Paris," says Rodolphe Wartel, general manager of A land of Wines.
Champagne Tasting is a special meeting with nearly sixty Champagne houses et Champagne de Vignerons with unique exchanges with professionals from the sector who share their knowledge with passion. The day will be interspersed with various unmissable events, such as 5 special master classes which are an invitation to taste exceptional champagnes with the Maisons Henriot, Moët & Chandon, Ruinart, Veuve Clicquot and Lombard, 2 “Discovery” Workshops with the General Union of Champagne Winegrowers for a true taste journey through Champagne around bold Champagnes, and 1 blind tasting competition with the different vintages of Champagne houses and Champagnes from Winegrowers which will be presented blindly to the participants. For each vintage, the tasters must identify the majority or sole grape variety, or the dosage, or why not identify by name from a choice of five Champagne House or Winemaker Champagne names.

An event for amateurs, but not only!
Champagne Tasting is the ideal day to (re)discover the Champagne region by tasting the most famous wine in the company of Champagne houses and Champagne from Winegrowers.
Who doesn't celebrate a happy event, especially with a glass of champagne? Champagne is the bottle we keep chilled to announce good news. But this so-called "traditional" consumption is transforming into a "why not?" trend, consisting of indulging ourselves outside of celebrations. This is the conclusion of a study (analysis of more than 50 conversations, images and videos posted on social networks) commissioned by The Champagne Committee.

Furthermore, its perception is still synonymous with prestige, as evidenced by the study conducted by IFOP… the appellation remains the undisputed leader in its category in terms such as “prestigious wine”, “international reputation”, “to offer as a gift”, “to associate with rarity”. As proof of this growing success, its popularity rating has never been stronger, with exports up 4,3% in 2022 and sales reaching volume levels not seen for 15 years. Champagne is still considered rare and luxurious in people’s minds, but its consumption seems to have become more widespread during small celebrations.
