Du November 1 to 16, 2025, the cellar of La Grande Épicerie du Cheap becomes the setting for a rare experience where the brand Volzhenka unfolds its artisanal and family-oriented world. In this space designed as a sensory immersion, caviar transcends its status as an exceptional delicacy to become a true exploration of the senses. The place is experienced like a refined stroll where sight, aromas, and flavors resonate with subtlety.

Far from any ostentation, the Volzhenka universe expresses itself in a discreet modernity, made of controlled gestures, delicate textures and a refined aesthetic that celebrates the essential.
The pop-up reveals bold pairings and original gourmet creations. The Tamago Caviar Sando, a gourmet sandwich inspired by the Japanese restaurant Onii-San Izakaya in the Marais district, artfully combines caviar with the delicate flavor of a Japanese omelet. The experience continues with a caviar madeleine bar, reinvented flaky croissants, and a drinks menu orchestrated to highlight every nuance of the product: vintage champagne, exceptional white tea, artisanal sake, rare mezcal, or iced vodka. Each tasting becomes a sensory journey, a dialogue between cultures and expertise.
Heritage, breeding and know-how
Volzhenka embodies a centuries-old tradition and an absolute passion for caviar. Originating from Astrakhan, a historic city on the shores of the Caspian Sea and the mythical birthplace of the Beluga caviar, the company perpetuates a savoir-faire passed down through generations. Volzhenka combines meticulous expertise, a profound respect for nature, and an exceptional family heritage. Here, caviar becomes a living treasure, ancestral expertise revealed in every grain, offering a pleasure of rare purity and authenticity.
To preserve this heritage while embedding it in an exemplary contemporary approach, the company established its farm in Greece, in the heart of a protected nature reserve. The sturgeon, originally from Russia, thrive in pristine spring waters, more than six meters deep. Their diet faithfully replicates what they would find in the wild: exclusively anchovies and krill. They grow according to their natural rhythm, in complete respect for their biological cycle. This artisanal and responsible approach is the hallmark of Volzhenka, a perfect blend of the Caspian Sea heritage and a demanding contemporary European vision. Each grain bears witness to this subtle harmony between tradition, nature, and time, offering a silky texture and an unforgettable taste.

Aesthetics, collection and service
Volzhenka pays equal attention to aesthetics and taste. The house collaborates with French designers to create presentation cases inspired by 19th-century glassware, in the spirit of Lalique creations. The caviars are presented in custom-blown glass containers, accompanied by delicate tableware that enhances the experience. The twisted mother-of-pearl spoons, designed by Ramdane Touhami, embody this perfect blend of tradition and modernity. Glass, a noble material par excellence, preserves the integrity and subtlety of the aromas while being healthier and more sustainable—a choice that reflects a philosophy of absolute respect for the product.
The collection brings together six exceptional caviars from four species of sturgeon raised with infinite patience:

Each grain embodies the absolute rigor of the "farm to table" approach. A true superfood, caviar lends itself to contemporary wellness rituals: at breakfast as a nutritional boost, rich in high-quality proteins and omega-3, or as a refined aperitif.
Behind the apparent elegance lies a logistics operation of clockwork precision. From its warehouses in Rungis, Volzhenka meticulously orchestrates each shipment, guaranteeing optimal freshness and consistency at every stage. This expertise allows them to meet the demands of a loyal and discerning international clientele, while offering exceptionally seamless service.

From packaging to mother-of-pearl spoons, from tableware to gourmet pairings, every detail contributes to this refined ritual where discovery becomes emotion and taste, a memorable experience.
Volzhenka is inspired by an old nickname given to women along the Volga: strong, elegant and deeply attached to their traditions, reflecting the spirit of the house: a preserved family heritage, the passion for a transmitted know-how and the audacity of an assumed contemporary vision.
Each grain of caviar embodies this subtle encounter between ancestral excellence and modernity, between preserved nature and absolute refinement, between heritage and innovation. Each tasting becomes a celebration of exceptional craftsmanship, a tribute to excellence, and an invitation to experience caviar in all its sensory, cultural, and emotional dimensions.
