A unique, tough and exclusive competition
Le Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships (CSWWC) is the only international sparkling wine competition judged by specialists, for the new generation of consumers who appreciate these wines for all occasions. Launched in 2014 by Tom Stevenson, an internationally renowned writer and author, the CSWWC is currently in its eighth year, scheduled for 2022. Arguably the largest and most challenging competition in the world, the CSWWC also showcases the regional origins of world-class sparkling wines.

The Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships, the only international sparkling wine competition, features a judging panel comprised of a selection of champagne and sparkling wine specialists, including three of the world's leading experts. After a completely blind tasting and evaluation of all the wines entered, these expert judges provide an assessment and must agree on all medals to be awarded, year after year.
In addition to awarding international prizes, the ultimate goal of this competition is to establish an annual guide to the world's best champagnes and sparkling wines for consumers and professionals.
Dom Ruinart Rosé 2004 Magnum, the nobility of taste
House created in 1729, Ruinart made history in 1764 with its “Œil de perdrix” (Perdix Eye), which was none other than the very first rosé champagne produced and marketed in the world. Rosé champagne acquired an essential place within the House.
An iconic grape variety of Maison Ruinart, Chardonnay is in the spotlight in this Dom Ruinart cuvée, created in 1959 and which has since enjoyed 26 vintages. Produced from the finest harvests and after aging in perfect conditions for 10 years in the Crayères, the wine is stirred and disgorged in accordance with Champagne customs. Dom Ruinart is characterized by a harmony between a base of approximately 80% Dom Ruinart Blanc de Blancs from the same year, and a touch of Pinot Noir vinified in red, also from the same year, which gives it this very singular rosé expression. Proof of its uniqueness and improvement over time, only 20 vintages have been released since the first in 1966, and this 2004 vintage confirms its nobility by winning the title of Best Champagne in the World.

The dress of the Dom Ruinart Rose 2004 is a pretty pink enhanced with delicate copper highlights. A cuvée that leaves its mark on the palate with its frank and straightforward character, bringing freshness and sharpness to the finish. The register, still marked by crisp red fruits, is complemented by fully ripe citrus fruits: blood orange, mandarin. As with the Dom Ruinart Blanc de Blancs 2004 on which this cuvée is based, the low dosage allows the purity and complexity of the greatest vintages of the Champagne.
The Dom Ruinart Rosé 2004 expresses itself through a beautiful pink color enhanced by fine copper highlights, a nose of aromatic tenderness held by fruity and sweet notes of raspberry, redcurrant and wild strawberry. A mineral freshness enhances the whole thanks to notes of rose petals and spicy smoky notes. As for the palate, this 2004 vintage leaves a frank and sharp imprint on the finish, with a sustained touch of freshness. Still marked by red fruits, the register is completed by tones of fully ripe citrus, mandarin and blood orange. A purity and complexity emerge from this vintage thanks to a low dosage, like the Dom Ruinart Blanc de Blancs 2004 on which this cuvée is based.
With a graceful and supple texture, the elegance of this vintage results in a length in the mouth led by the freshness of the Chardonnay, sustained over time by aging in magnums, the format of which guarantees exceptional preservation of the freshness of the wines thanks to a blossoming of more intense notes.
Recommended retail price of Dom Ruinart Rosé 2004 Magnum: 600 euros.
In addition to this rosé cuvée, voted the best champagne in the world, Ruinart also offers two other rosés: the Dom Ruinart Rosé 2 in bottle format and the Ruinart Rosé in bottle and magnum format, in its second-skin case.

The color of this product is a deep rosé with copper highlights and is characterized by a nose with a warm and sunny register, with notes of coffee, cocoa bean, candy apples and ripe citrus fruits and discreet aromas of plum and hibiscus.
