Le Cirque du Soleil is a Quebec contemporary artistic entertainment company that offers a completely different vision of traditional exercise.

Without animals, the concept created in 1984 emphasizes acrobatics and burlesque at the initiative of busker Guy Laliberté. The acrobats (more than 1300 artists currently active) are street art specialists, sometimes hand-picked former top athletes. The Grand Tour du Cirque du Soleil is the first show presented 40 years ago, which has since spawned 32 variations, 18 of which are currently touring worldwide. From theaters to concert halls to big tops, Saltimbanco, Zaia, Quidam, Dralion, Varekai, Iris, Ovo, Delirium, Totem, and many others are all different concepts listed by the type of infrastructure that hosts them.
Cortéo has existed since April 21, 2005, was created by Swiss choreographer and director Daniele Finzi Pasca, and has been performing in Arenas since 2018. Musically, each show has its own identity performed live, and Cirque du Soleil is a labeled industry for both its records and all its derivative products. The group has 5700 employees, and its shareholders are now American and Chinese.
The magnificent Cortéo show, which the people of Bordeaux will be attending, tells the story of Mauro, who imagines his own funeral in a festive atmosphere. Thus, the clown who sets the pace for a show composed of several parts moves from the comic to the tragic, revealing various aspects that we hold deep within our souls. The music, some of which is performed live, adds an additional sensitivity, and the spectator quickly falls in love with the main characters.
"The procession" allows us to meet the white clown, the clowness and her "little clown" Romeo, the excellent "whistler", the harlequin who became Mauro and a host of intermittent performers, each more agile than the last. 260 costumes are needed for the 53 protagonists who parade on stage presenting the tableaux "sky and earth", "a return to childhood", "weightlessness", "what goes down comes up" and "pirouettes". These 5 distinct parts are physical feats and the audience is not indifferent to the Hispanic pole dancer, the whistler who is a fan of Mozart and Mini Lili, one of the 10 smallest people in the world!
The 60-year-old Belarusian, who is 1 meter tall and weighs 18 kg, flew over the Arkea Arena using helium-filled balloons before the stunned eyes of the captivated spectators. As for the benevolent angels, they are recurring characters who bridge the hero's journey from life to death.
In summary, Cortéo, which lasts more than two hours including a 25-minute interlude, is a show combining acrobatic feats and acting in a comic atmosphere. The very burlesque theatrical aspect is omnipresent and the main subject makes the permanent link between heaven and earth, a favorite universe for talented acrobats who move from the trapeze to the trampoline with disconcerting ease. A must-see!
