Go on a Bermuda Mission with Futuroscope

Le Futuroscope, a temple of playful innovation and immersive experiences, has just unveiled its latest gem: Bermuda Mission, a unique aquatic attraction designed by Mack Rides, expected from June 28, 2025. Tinted with adventure, thrills and technology, this new experience promises an extraordinary immersion, at the heart of the mystery of Bermuda Triangle.

The concept

Visitors board 10-seater boats, propelled by a system Rocking Boat, world premiere, designed by Mack Rides. On a semi-fun, semi-roller coaster course, the boat follows a 500 m circuit extending over 1,38 ha, between immersive interior areas and lush exterior landscapes.

Imagine the adrenaline rush as your boat begins to rock gently, before picking up speed and tipping into a world where the ground seems to give way beneath your feet. With its rotating elevator that lifts you 16 meters off the ground, then its dizzying drop at over 60 km/h, Bermuda Mission propels you into a whirlwind of sensations combining floating, controlled jolts and unpredictable splashes. The alternation between calm zones and dynamic sequences creates a delightful tension: a false sense of security before each twist of fate. It is a sensory adventure that takes you from the icy thrill of a mysterious mist to the thermal shock of a jet of water in the face, all enveloped in an immersive sound universe. You don't suffer Bermuda Mission : we saw it, from head to toe.

The sensations promised by Bermuda Mission live up to its ambition: spectacular and immersive. From the very first moments, visitors are immersed in a setting rich in special effects, thick mists, immersive projections, disturbing wrecks and lush jungle, which contribute to an adventure film atmosphere. The journey combines moments of narrative "dark ride" with outdoor sequences where the action takes over. An innovative rotating elevator lifts the boats to a height of 16 meters before releasing them in a first descent, followed by a final plunge of 15 meters at more than 60 km/h, providing a guaranteed adrenaline rush. In terms of immersion, visitors will be plunged into a multi-sensory adventure thanks to a combination ofspectacular effects : thick mists, water spurts, dynamic projections and explosion effects will punctuate the experience, for a journey that is as visual as it is physical.

The experience, lasting from 4 to 10 minutes, skillfully plays on contrasts: a calm and intriguing beginning gives way to a spectacular rise in intensity. Despite these strong sensations, Bermuda Mission remains an accessible attraction, designed to please the whole family: children from 1,05 m can board accompanied, and from 1,40 m alone, which makes it a perfect balance between thrilling adventure and shared pleasure.

Bermuda Bar

After the thrills and aquatic immersion of Bermuda Mission, visitors can extend the adventure in a more relaxed but equally exotic atmosphere thanks to the Bermuda Bar. Located at the exit of the attraction, this relaxation and dining area has been designed as a natural extension of the mysterious world of the Bermuda Triangle. Palm trees, weathered wooden furniture, subdued lighting and ambient music recreate the atmosphere of an explorers' lair stranded on a secret island. There is a varied selection of cold drinks, tropical cocktails (with or without alcohol) and exotic snacks, perfect for recovering from the emotions of the ride. The place is intended as much as a resting point as a true sensory stopover, where you can debrief the adventure while remaining immersed in the story. This attention to thematic continuity makes the Bermuda Bar much more than a simple snack: it is the final chapter of an expedition that mixes mystery, discovery and pleasure.

To take full advantage of Bermuda Mission, it is advisable to go there early in the morning or late in the afternoon to avoid long queues, and to consider a Premium Pass for priority access. As the attraction is aquatic, it is best to wear clothes that dry quickly or bring a poncho, as well as a small towel. The experience begins right from the queue: take the time to observe the sets and narrative clues to fully immerse yourself in the universe. Check the minimum heights (1,05 m accompanied, 1,40 m alone) if you are with your family, and don't forget to make a detour to the Bermuda Bar at the exit to prolong the tropical atmosphere with a drink. Finally, keep an eye out for souvenir photos, which are often very successful, and, if the opportunity arises, do the attraction a second time: each visit can reveal new, unexpected details.

A strategic investment

With an investment of 25 million euros, Bermuda Mission stands out as the most ambitious of Futuroscope's recent innovations, and becomes the cornerstone of the strategic plan Vision 2025, which aims to renew 40% of the fleet's offering. For comparison, Objective Mars (2020), the park's first roller coaster, required a budget of 20 million euros, while Tornado Chasers (2022), awarded as the best attraction in the world, had raised 21 million euros. More recently, aquascope (2024), the indoor aquatic space, continued this momentum with 22 million euros dedicated to the world of well-being and fun. Bermuda Mission therefore reaches a new milestone in terms of scale and resources, embodying a strong desire to develop Futuroscope into a true destination resortThis move upmarket is accompanied by the opening of themed accommodation, a diversification of the catering offer, and a program designed to encourage visitors to stay several days on the site. More than an attraction, Bermuda Mission is the symbol of a Futuroscope in full transformation, resolutely focused on immersive and multi-sensory experiences.

With Mission Bermuda, Futuroscope reaffirms its mission: to push the boundaries of immersive entertainment, combining technical innovation and immersive storytelling. This promising new attraction looks set to become a must-see in summer 2025, and an incentive to extend the adventure in this unique universe.

Prepare to dive into the unknown… an adventure to follow and experience!
