Miles Kane, Britpop of the 2000s

By Diego
See you soon 40, miles Kane is part of the next generation Britpop successful after Pulp, Oasis et BlurA singer-songwriter, the Englishman began his career at 18 within The Little Flames with a musical sound reminiscent The CoralIn 2006, he formed The Rascals With his friends Greg and Joe, continuing the momentum of the album "The Day Is Not Today," released around the same time, they opened for Arctic Monkeys at the height of their fame after "Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not." Miles also changed bands again, joining Alex Turner (of the aforementioned group) to form The Last Shadow Puppets, who recorded their first album in France in 2008 (a second album followed in 2016).

From recaps of Bowie At major summer festivals, the group forged an international reputation, and Kane began planning a solo career in 2011 with "Colour of the Trap," which spawned the hits "Come Closer," "Inhaler," and "Rearrange." From then on, his career would primarily be personal, though he didn't abandon side projects. Fifteen years later, the artist has released six albums and collaborated with... Lana Del Rey et Matthew Bellamy from Muse (for The Jaded Hearts Club project in tribute to the Beatles) and offers a collection of Fred Perry clothing by launching a limited edition fashion line.

THE BORDEAUX CONCERT
To promote his album "Sunlight In The Shadows," released on October 17, 2025, Miles Kane is embarking on a world tour, but French fans have only a few opportunities to see him, including Paris on March 20 (at the Trianon, one of the finest venues in France). First up, Basht, led by Jack Leavey, will present "Bitter and Twisted" with the flair of a seasoned band. Unfussy and punctuated with a few well-placed "blah-blahs," the Irish group delights the audience and gets them pumped up before the main act takes the stage!
Miles Kane has been a Bordeaux regular for 20 years, and during his set, he thanked his loyal fans. The atmosphere on the Barbey stage was a vibrant one, as the amplifiers, drum kit, and subwoofers were all leopard-print—the beast could now enter the arena! Extensive excerpts from his latest album ("Love Is Cruel," "Blue Skies," "Walk On The Ocean," "Without You") were interspersed with the Englishman's hits, and he was clearly delighted to share these moments. Dressed in black leather, Miles alternated between electric and acoustic guitars with his signature stage presence. In fact, tutorials are available online to learn the instrument with him! This guy has undeniable class and a charisma that warmed up this rainy February evening. Even though the set lasted less than an hour and a half, the hits were there, and "Rearrange" at the beginning, the incredible "Troubled Son" from 2023, and "Coup de Grâce" were formidable.
The finale will finish off the crowd: "Never Taking Me Alive," "Don't Forget Who You Are," and the hit "Come Closer" will have everyone in agreement: any Bordeaux rock fan who wasn't there tonight made a big mistake! The lights go down, Sinatra's version of "My Way" blasts from the speakers, and I leave the Rock School Barbey with the feeling that short concerts are sometimes the best, as Jack White and Deportivo would say!
