The 2024 APIPD Maestro Gala promises to be an exceptional evening, marking the eighth edition of this charity event. Organized by theAssociation for the Information and Prevention of Sickle Cell Disease (APIPD), this gala will take place on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at La Palmeraie, Paris 15th.
Under the sign of the number 35 and with a red dress code, this evening will highlight world-renowned artists and is committed to supporting the fight against sickle cell disease, under the high patronage of Valérie PECRESSE, President of the Ile-de-France Region.
Jenny Hippocrate-Fixy heads APIPD
Jenny Hippocrate-Fixy is the current president of APIPD. She is one of the most decorated women in Europe, a Knight of the Legion of Honor and awarded the National Medal of the Order of Merit for her commitment. She plays a crucial role in the organization's structuring and growth. Her personal commitment and leadership have been instrumental in making APIPD a leading authority in the field of prevention and patient support. Thanks to her dedication, APIPD has been able to develop numerous awareness and support programs, helping thousands of people affected by sickle cell disease.
Support from CommanderCdR Don MAESTRO, International Music LUXE INFINITY Ambassador
In 2024, the association appointed Commander CdR Don MAESTRO as an official international ambassador, representing the association globally since May 21, 2024. This support is crucial to increase the association's visibility and mobilize additional resources. CommanderCdR Don MAESTRO was named WORLD ARTIST AWARD OF EXCELLENCE 2023 at the TORONTO IPA-FIP 2023 Canada. Known for his artistic talents and his passion for serving peace and humanity, he brings a fresh perspective to APIPD.
With the support of CommanderCdR Don MAESTRO, APIPD hopes not only to raise awareness of sickle cell disease but also to attract additional funding for research and patient support. His active participation in APIPD events and his role as a global spokesperson reinforce the association's mission. Together, Jenny Hippocrate-Fixy and Don MAESTRO form a powerful duo, committed to advancing the fight against sickle cell disease internationally.
APIPD actions
Since its inception, APIPD has worked to educate the public about sickle cell disease, support affected families, and fund medical research. The association regularly organizes awareness-raising events, information campaigns, and fundraisers to support its missions. Dress code:
This year's dress code is red, in homage to the number 35, which symbolizes a significant milestone for the association. Guests are encouraged to dress accordingly to fully immerse themselves in the gala's atmosphere. La Palmeraie, located at 18/20 rue du Colonel Pierre Avia in Paris, is an exceptional venue that offers an elegant and refined setting for this evening.
Menu and program for the evening
The Maestro APIPD Charity Gala offers a rich and varied program. On the menu, guests can enjoy gourmet dishes:
- Welcome buffet accompanied by various cocktails
- Starter: Foie gras medallion with beetroot compote and fig brioche, beetroot shoots
- Dish of your choice: Roast chicken ballotine with chestnuts and dried fruits, red pepper sauce or salmon fillet, redcurrant sauce
- Side dish: Creamy gratin with two carrots and broccoli, fan-shaped potatoes and roasted Saint-Vincent tomatoes
- Dessert: Chic ruby and its custard
- Wine: Red or white
