The event represents a true immersion into the heart of contemporary creation and the trends of tomorrow.
The major event for crafts and design returns under the glass roofs of the Grand Palais. The two previous editions had to be held at the Grand Palais.
Ephemeral, on the Champ de Mars, during the building works, from 2021 to 2024, until the Olympic Games. The biennial Révélations 2025, from May 21 to 25, represents the seventh edition of this international exhibition, which attracted more than 36 visitors in 000.
3000 exceptional pieces from more than 350 creators from around thirty countries will be presented, highlighting a diversity of materials, crafts, know-how and artistic worlds. A program of conferences, workshops for children and guided tours for amateurs and initiates will complete the event. Since 2013, Révélations has been organized by Ateliers d'Art de France, a professional union of crafts bringing together 6000 workshops established in France and carrying out major actions for the entire sector. Its mission is to represent and defend professionals in the crafts, to work for the economic development of workshops and the
structuring of the sector.

“How can a profession exist, say who it is, show what it is capable of without a meeting, without a forum for debate where it can collectively show itself to the world?” remarks Stéphane Galerneau, president of Ateliers d'Art de France. “Our show thus opens the field of reflection on creation through materials. It creates this international gathering by welcoming our counterparts from around the world here in Paris.
The Biennale has become a must-attend event for professionals in the fine arts and crafts sector, who can meet their audiences for five days, celebrate their boldness through unique works, and showcase their daily commitment. Beyond Paris and France, Révélations also represents a major economic event for contemporary creation worldwide. The scenography is once again by Adrien Gardère, who has created a refined setting to enhance the works and offer visitors an aerial journey, perfectly integrated into the architecture of the Grand Palais.
Italy, country of honor in 2025
After Quebec, Luxembourg and the African continent, Italy will be the country in the spotlight at the next edition. Our transalpine neighbor has been
For thousands of years, it has been the cradle of exceptional craftsmanship, attracting numerous architects, designers, collectors, and luxury brands. Its crafts are as varied as the regions that make up the country, each with its own specificities and distinct techniques, reflecting its history and culture.
The Révélations Biennale has chosen to present exceptional works specially crafted for the occasion to the public. Innovative and astonishing, the unique pieces that will be unveiled reinvent these age-old traditions, combining ancestral know-how with a contemporary vision. This will be an opportunity for Italy to shed new light on its artistic crafts, essential pillars of its economy, image, identity, and heritage.
The emblematic work
For this seventh edition, Révélations has chosen a captivating work by Danish-Swedish glassblower Maria Bang Espersen, whose studio is located in Småland County, Sweden. This work embodies the international contemporary creation at the heart of the biennial. Her approach to the material is experimental and investigative, always curious to find new ways to use it. She explores and pushes the properties of glass through unconventional processes.
Its centerpiece is called “Rock Mountain #1.” It is made from hot glass that is stretched and folded several times before being shaped by hand with gloves.
Kevlar. The sculpture poetically evokes shiny metal and draped silk in motion, creating a visual illusion of matter. Although it is made of glass and immobile, “Rock Mountain #1” plays with our perceptions and evokes sometimes deceptive appearances… If we perceive movement and flexibility in the meanders of this glass work, the material is in fact frozen, after the glass has cooled.
During the five days of the Révélations Biennale, Paris will once again become the global epicenter of the creative world within the architectural jewel that is the Grand Palais.
