Fine Arts La Biennale Paris, the show that is gaining momentum

From November 22 to 26, 2023 at the Grand Palais Ephémère, FAB Paris (Fine Arts La Biennale Paris) brings together the entire art world under one roof... a show that is gaining momentum.

FAB Paris, born from the merger of the Fine Arts Paris fairs and the Biennale des Antiquités, takes on a new name, changes location and gains momentum. 110 galleries from 12 different countries (25% more than in 2022) will join the Grand Palais Ephémère from November 22 to 26, 2023. Recognized for the high level of the works exhibited and appreciated by collectors and museum curators from around the world, FAB Paris is the most important international event in Paris dedicated to the presentation of the arts from Antiquity to the present day.

FAB Paris launches the program " Guest Artist » which will be inaugurated this year by Gautier CapuçonThe show will give the world-renowned cellist carte blanche to select his favorite pieces from the thousands of objects on display at the show. Duo Shum, composed of the winners of the Capuçon Foundation, Anastasia Rizikov et Lisa Strauss, will give a concert on Friday, November 24 at 19 p.m.

le National Furniture is the guest institution, it will bring its rich collections into dialogue with the energy of contemporary creation in a space designed by Paul Bonlarron, winner of the 2022 National Design Parade Furniture Prize.

The scenography of FAB Paris is under the direction of the interior designer Sylvie Zerat, which created a decor that was chic, sophisticated and neutral enough to highlight the personal world of each exhibitor.

Thanks to historic partnerships with the most prestigious museums and private institutions, FAB Paris will offer an Arts Week, a series of off-site private tours throughout the duration of the exhibition with the following institutions… Centre Pompidou, Institut de France, Opéra Garnier, Musée des Invalides, Jean-Jacques Henner National Museum, Constance Guisset Workshop, Jeu de Paume, Daniel and Florence Guerlain Contemporary Art Foundation and Van Cleef & Arpels School of Jewelry Arts who will provide exclusive visits during this VIP tour.

Forty-one new dealers are expected, half of whom are foreign. These include modern and contemporary art galleries from Germany, Switzerland, Spain, and the United Kingdom, respectively. Ludorff, Von Vertes, Mayoral, Whitford et BoulakiaSeveral American galleries have joined FAB Paris... Demisch Danant, specialist in post-war French design, Tenzing, an Asian art gallery based in San Francisco and Hong Kong specializing in Himalayan Buddhist art, and Art Passages, oriental art gallery.

FAB Paris aims to represent quality in all areas, from Japanese armor to Charbonnier Gallery to the Persian illuminations of the galleries Kevorkian et Kent Antiques, passing through the engraving magnificently exhibited by the Helmut H. Rumbler Gallery or tapestry, the area of ​​excellence of the Chevalier Gallery.

Florian Kohlhammer, specialist in Art Nouveau, the decorative arts gallery Anne-Sophie Duval, which has just celebrated its 50th anniversary, and Alain Marcelpoil, international expert specializing in designers André Sornay, are also making their debut at FAB Paris. They join galleries showcasing extraordinary works of art such as Sao Roque, Brun Fine Art, Christopher Kende (a new German exhibitor specializing in goldsmithing). Primitive art is represented by Anthony Meyer, Sheet, Mestdagh, Montagut and Monbrison, next to Bernard de Grunne, Lucas Ratton, Schoffel de Fabry et Yann Ferrandin.

The archaeology department is expanding with the arrival of Jean-David Kahn, Eberwein et Cybele, thus joining Antoine Tarantino.

Sculpture is the most popular traditional field of Fine Arts Paris, thanks in particular to the galleries Xavier Eeckhout, Sismann, Malaquais, Trebosc & Van Lelyveld et Bronze Universe, and new arrivals Benjamin Proust, Desmet Fine Art et Dei Bardi.

The essentials of ancient art, Perrin, Steinitz, de Jonckheere, Sarti, Aaron, from Bayser, terraces, Michel Descous are all loyal to this show which is getting stronger year after year, and joined for this 2023 session by the German galleries Neuse, Spanish Ana Chiclana and Dutch Van Der Meijer. Old paintings are also very present among dealers, surprising by their finds or their selections, like Philippe Mendes, Arnaud Charvet ou Edward AmbroselliThe bibliography is not left out, being represented by bookstores. Clavreuil, from Proyart, and by the arrivals of Benoît Forgeot et Autographs of the Centuries.

Modern art is represented by some twenty dealers, such as Prazan Application, Beres, of Béraudière, The Presidency, Anthony Laurentin, Rosenberg, Tamenaga et Aktis, Helene Bailly, A&R Fleury, Loeve&Co, Najuma, Goldenrod, participating for the first time in FAB Paris. As for contemporary art galleries RX et Christophe Gaillard, who were very satisfied with their participation last year, are therefore returning in 2023. The jewelry department provides space for seven galleries such as orpheo, Larengregor et Walid Akkad.

110 exhibitors 25% more than in 2022; 1/3 foreign exhibitors from 12 countries around the world; 41 new exhibitors or 40% of the total number of exhibitors; 20 specialties ; works brooding near 2000 years of stories on six continents ; an exhibition area of 9 000 square meters.
