On the occasion of its 80th anniversary, the Italian fashion house Brioni team up with Lalique to reveal an exceptional fragrance: Duality, Crystal Edition Perfume. Previewed at the Salone del Mobile, this rare work embodies a spectacular encounter between fine perfumery, glassmaking expertise and artistic design.
Born from a four-year collaboration between Norbert Stumpfl, artistic director of Brioni, and Marc Larminaux, artistic and creative director at Lalique, Duality pushes the boundaries of luxury and contemporary creation. Limited to only 18 numbered and signed copies, this monumental crystal bottle is much more than a perfume case: it is a living sculpture, a celebration of exceptional craftsmanship.
A masterpiece of contrasts
Inspired by the theme of duality, the bottle evokes a harmonious tension between architectural forms and controlled chaos. Sculpted in an octagonal prism, in homage to Brioni's 80th anniversary, it combines geometric rigor with a boiling material: inside, a chaotic crystalline formation, frozen in time, captures and refracts light like the facets of a glacier. This play of contrasts is enhanced by the silvery sparkle of the juice it contains.
The bottle is shaped using the ancestral technique of lost wax casting, which Lalique reintroduced in his Wingen-sur-Moder workshops. This method, of rare complexity, was used for the first time by Rene Lalique in 1893. It gives each piece an incomparable singularity, marked by the hand of the master glassmaker and a timeless aesthetic.
A setting worthy of the myth
To enhance this crystalline work, Brioni and Lalique have designed a base in alabaster, a noble and luminous stone with ethereal marbling. The setting transforms into a sculptural pedestal, like a Roman column, further amplifying the monumental and artistic aspect of the whole. A true manifesto of slow luxury, combining patience, artisanal excellence and precious materials.

A fragrance that lives up to its case
This visual treasure contains 340 ml of signature perfume extract Michel AlmairacMore, an internationally renowned master perfumer. The opening is structured around a vibrant ozonic accord and a bright green apple, evoking a breath of fresh air. The heart, both powdery and sensual, combines a delicate violet withambroxan, amplified in overdose. The whole thing rests on a warm base of cedar wood, green moss and iris butter, a precious material obtained after seven years of maturation.
