Art Paris 2024 celebrates art and design

From April 4 to 7, 2024, the Grand Palais Éphémère will be transformed into an artistic and cultural fair by hosting the 26th edition of ART PARIS.

This is a truly successful event, as it brings together 136 art galleries from 25 different countries, presenting a wide range of modern and contemporary art. ART PARIS strengthened its involvement with the French artistic scene this year by launching the BNP Paribas Banque Privée Prize.

The 2024 edition promises to be an unmissable event for art lovers, collectors and professionals from around the world, eager to discover original and creative works of art.

A wide range of prestigious galleries

ART PARIS 2024 stands out thanks to a rigorous selection of 136 galleries, chosen from 291 applications. The exhibition becomes increasingly attractive thanks to the arrival of 42 new galleries, some of which are making their debut. This edition features notable figures such as Esther Schipper and Peter Kilchmann, solidifying Paris's position as the world's art capital. This diversity of participants offers a rich and varied representation of current trends in contemporary art.

Emphasis on diversity and excellence

With a majority of French galleries, ART PARIS highlights the richness and diversity of the local artistic ecosystem. The increased international presence, with galleries from New York to Nairobi, enriches this edition, offering a rich cultural and artistic dialogue. This mix of cultures and perspectives underlines ART PARIS's commitment to promotinglifestyle high-end through the prism of contemporary and modern art.

Fragile Utopias and Art & Craft: Two innovative themes

Fragile Utopias: A New Look at French Art

Under the direction of Éric de Chassey, the theme "Fragile Utopies" explores the French art scene through the prism of utopia and precarity. Twenty-one French artists are highlighted through this initiative, which encourages in-depth reflection on contemporary issues and the role of art in society. It encourages a renewed awareness and appreciation of art as a means of exploring future possibilities, even in a fragile context.

Art & Craft: Craftsmanship at the heart of creation

Nicolas Trembley encourages us to rethink the connection between art and craft through "Art & Craft." By reaffirming the value of craftsmanship in contemporary and modern art, this approach shows how artists integrate traditional skills into their practice. This theme emphasizes the importance of materiality and process in artistic creation, while promoting ancestral techniques in contemporary ones.

Support for emerging creation and eco-responsible commitmentPromesses: A platform for young talentThe “Promesses” sector demonstrates ART PARIS’s commitment to young galleries and emerging artists. By subsidizing a significant portion of the costs, the fair facilitates the discovery of new talent, enriching the artistic landscape of tomorrow. The objective of this initiative is to stimulate the dynamics of contemporary art by giving greater visibility to new and promising creators. An eco-designed fairA pioneer in eco-design, ART PARIS continues to reduce its environmental footprint. Efforts focus on reducing waste, reusing materials, and optimizing energy consumption, affirming the role of art in promoting sustainable development. This approach is part of a long-term vision, aimed at reconciling artistic excellence and respect for the environment, highlighting the importance of sustainability in the art sector.
