For over thirty years at Andorra, Caldea It stands out as one of the finest wellness experiences in Europe. Nestled in the heart of the Pyrenees, this unique thermal complex combines avant-garde architecture with a natural treasure: water with exceptional medicinal properties. Like a crystal emerging from the mountain, Caldea illuminates the valley with its futuristic silhouette. But behind its glass walls lies an entire world dedicated to water, relaxation, and the rediscovery of the senses.

Waters with beneficial powers
It all began in 1987, when the municipality ofEscaldes-Engordany Andorra has decided to showcase one of its greatest treasures: the thermal springs that gush forth from its depths at nearly 70°C. Rich in sulfides and minerals, these smooth waters, originating from an underground fault, soothe, repair, and purify. Anti-allergic, healing, and decongestant, they have always been considered a source of health and balance. Thanks to them, Andorra has risen to become one of the most renowned spa destinations in the Pyrenees.

1994: birth of a thermal spa complex
The inauguration of Caldea in 1994 marked a turning point. It was entrusted to the French architect Jean-Michel Ruols nicknamed the water architectThe project combines clean lines, bold verticality, and natural inspiration. Its 80-meter glass tower, the tallest in the country, still dominates the Co-Principality today. Like a lighthouse, it embodies the soul of Caldea: light, fluidity, life.
More than just a spa, it's a thermal leisure complex, a veritable "water cathedral" where glass, steel, and stone interact with the bubbling springs of the valley. Spanning 31,000 square meters, indoor pools and outdoor lagoons follow one another, bathed in natural light that glides across the snow-capped mountains.

The kingdom of thermal fun - When water becomes emotion
At Caldea, thermal play is an experience, almost a poem. It's the warmth of the water that embraces the body, the steam that caresses the skin, the laughter that echoes under the glass dome.
Here, well-being is experienced through movement and lightness: geysers, waterfalls, soothing bubbles, lagoons open to the sky. Water is at once play, energy, and rebirth.
This approach, a signature of the place, celebrates the joy of the present moment, the freedom of the body, and the fluidity of a lifestyle focused on gentleness.

Premium Space: The inner whisper of well-being
While the water features form the vibrant heart of the complex, the Premium Area is its tranquil soul. Reserved for adults, it invites silence and relaxation. Here, the water no longer dances, it breathes. Each pool seems to listen to the visitor's breath. The light is soft, the sounds muted, the temperature perfect.
Customized massages, aromatic baths, relaxation rituals: everything contributes to harmony. In this sanctuary suspended outside of time, well-being becomes meditation, the body regains its fluidity and the mind is enlightened.
Classical Space: A Journey for the Senses
In the Classical Space, water tells the story of the world. Each pool, each steam evokes another place: the enveloping warmth of an oriental hammam, the lemony sweetness of a Japanese bath, the freshness of a jacuzzi suspended facing the Andorran peaks.
Here, bathing becomes a ritual, the scents of incense and citrus awaken the senses. You travel without leaving the mountains, carried away by age-old bathing traditions and the universal pleasure of water.
Thermal spa treatments: a return to basics
Beyond the pools, Caldea perpetuates the thermal heritage of the Pyrenees through a collection of treatments inspired by traditional balneotherapy.
Hydromassages under affusion, mud wraps, invigorating jet showers, aromatic baths: each ritual draws on the mineral virtues of water rich in sulfur and sodium.
In the Premium Area, treatments become signatures: personalized programs, reflexology, shiatsu, sound meditation with Tibetan bowls… A holistic experience where water, body and mind interact.
This thermal water undergoes ozone treatment, a gentle, eco-friendly, and skin-friendly process that preserves all its medicinal qualities. The result: pure, crystal-clear, regenerating water, continuously recycled for sustainable and waste-free operation.

The flavors of Caldea: well-being at the table
Well-being also extends to the table, with two culinary experiences at the heart of the spa.
Blu Restaurant, in the heart of the thermal complex, celebrates conviviality. Its Mediterranean and international cuisine showcases fresh produce, salads, grilled dishes, and vegetarian recipes in a bright and relaxed atmosphere.
For a touch of the exotic, Siam Shiki, in the Premium Area, invites you on a journey between Japan and Thailand. Sushi, fragrant wok dishes, and creamy curries can be enjoyed while taking in a panoramic view of the Andorran pools and mountains.

Towards a new chapter: Caldea Resort
Today, the complex is reinventing itself. In the midst of transformation, it is preparing to become a complete thermal resort.
Among the upcoming new features: the renovation of the spaces, a new bridge over the Valira and above all, the opening in 2026 of a five-star boutique hotel in the famous Glass Tower.
