Where others would have struggled, it waltzed from one bend to the next, supported by its AMG RIDE CONTROL suspension and rear-wheel steering, devouring the slopes with agility. An almost musical sensory experience, where the engine responds to the calls of the asphalt like a virtuoso instrument.
Intuitive luxury, technological cocoon
On board, refinement is as instinctive as the driving pleasure. The 11,9-inch central display, slightly tilted toward the driver, becomes the conductor of a cabin where everything is designed for comfort and performance. It was in this setting that we crossed Quebec from one end to the other, between nature getaways and gastronomic stops. Arriving in 2023, the CLE model now replaces the C-Class and E-Class coupés, simplifying the Mercedes-Benz range between the mid-size sedan and the large sedan. The CLE Coupé was launched in November 2023, followed shortly thereafter by the convertible version. The CLE 53 AMG represents the sporty version of the CLE, with a 256-liter turbocharged M3,0 mild-hybrid six-cylinder engine and electric assistance (48 V) providing up to +23 hp and 151 Nm additional power at low revs. It responds to the growing power of the AMG models, without resorting to a V8: a resolutely modern orientation marked by electrification. An even sharper version, the CLE 63, equipped with a twin-turbo V8 of around 585 hp, is expected very soon.
