Maserati celebrates the V8 engine at the 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed

At the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the annual celebration of motorsport and automotive culture, held from July 13 to 16, 2023, Maserati proudly presents two world premieres: the Ghibli 334 Ultima and the Levante V8 Ultima.

This year, the Maison du Trident pays tribute to the latest chapter in its iconic line of V8-powered grand touring cars, which have sold more than 100 units since the launch of the Maserati 5000 GT in 1959.

Maserati Ghibli 334 Ultima

To mark the upcoming end of production of the legendary 8bhp twin-turbo V572 engine, with the models themselves set to become collector's items in the coming months, the hallowed grounds of Goodwood will host the world premiere of two special editions. Ghibli 334 Ultimate (the figure indicating its top speed in kilometers per hour, making it the fastest internal combustion engine sedan in the world) and the Levant V8 UltimaTogether, they promise to captivate festival-goers in the First Glance paddock, with the former also in action during the hill climb.

Maserati Levante V8 Ultima

La GranTurismo Trophy, equipped with the roaring 6 hp Nettuno V542 engine, is also due to take part in the Goodwood hillclimb. Its soul is the innovative pre-chamber combustion system, equipped with double spark plugs and derived from Formula 1.

Maserati GranTurismo Trofeo

Meanwhile, the Maserati space will host the Maserati GranTurismo One Off Prisma, a proud expression of this car's past and the brand's ability to project itself. It will be joined by a Granturismo Folgore, so that visitors can fully appreciate up close everything about the Italian luxury brand's first fully electric car.

Maserati GranTurismo Prisma

The new electric flagship model features 800-volt battery technology developed using cutting-edge technical solutions derived from Formula E, allowing the svelte four-seater grand touring coupé to travel up to 450 km on a single charge, as well as recharging up to 100 km in just five minutes. It also boasts impressive performance, thanks to three powerful 300 kW permanent magnet motors – one at the front, two at the rear – for a total installed power of over 1 hp. This means it delivers a maximum power available at the wheels of over 200 hp, with a torque of 750 Nm.

Maserati Gran Turismo Folgore

The iconic Gran Turismo originates from the Maserati A6 1500 GT, the world's first grand tourer, and continues to offer the same perfect blend of unique styling, advanced technology and performance, all in a typically striking Italian body.

Maserati Grecale Folgore

Maserati's second fully electric model, the Grecale Folgore, the first mid-size luxury SUV on the market, will be installed on the festival's Electric Avenue. Equipped with a 105 kWh battery using 400-volt technology and a range of 310 miles (500 km - Predicted values + EU specifications), it has been carefully designed to make every day incredible. Designed and manufactured in Italy, the Grecale Folgore offers the performance and luxury that characterize the Trident, with 820 Nm of torque and over 500 hp.

Maserati MC20 Sky

To complete Maserati's presence at the event, another star, the MC20 Sky, is presented. After making its UK debut last year at the festival with David Beckham, it returns once again to the iconic hillclimb, this time resplendent in Rosso Vincente. With its eye-catching design, exceptional power-to-weight ratio, carbon fiber chassis, retractable glass roof, and F6-derived 621-hp Nettuno V1 engine, it will undoubtedly turn heads over the four-day event.
